How do one get to rewrite a hub alleged to be a duplicate?

   I think this should not be a problem since we all know original contents are the only acceptable forms here at hubpages. The challenge is rewriting something 'you think and believe' is original and it is still flagged as duplicate. How do you remake and make more original, something you wrote from the scratch?
   Probably there should be a way to see the hubs or articles to which yours is alleged to be substantially similar to.

      Have you published them anywhere else? Even if it's your own writing it can be flagged as duplicate.
      
      It's not hard for everyone to write about different subjects differently. The only time I got a duplicate flag was when I used too much of a speech I was quoting.

         I didn't remember publishing it elsewhere. As for quoting, probably quoting a few bible references is what I did wrong. I will check that too. Thanks for the support.

   If you are a writer.... write!
   
   From scratch.. in your own new words not previously used elsewhere.. on subject and in a quality format!
   
   Don't waste your time... scrap it and just change direction as I've indicated above!

      No, I should not bother. But is it not unusual that different minds write different things the same way? Even if they do write on the same thing, would they not have added their own flavor?
      Pearldiver, I am not used to this, if you have had several or a few cases of your hubs been dubbed duplicate when you felt you did a good job writing them, please let me know.
      What you said made me feel like it is common place and that talking about it is dumb.

   Sorry mate!  I didn't mean to intimate that... merely save you the grief of searching through the reasons of others, when your own positive energy is best spent attacking the problem more objectively.
   
   With the net, this is becoming more common. However, I personally have not had the problem as I write to my own style. The problems come from many sources, including the use article spinners etc.
   
   For this exercise... what I am suggesting is nothing to do with the subject... it is that you write on the subject on a vastly higher level and do so, not using the specific key words which are likely triggering the dupe warnings. If it was me... I would just write another, vastly superior work and silence the problem that way! Besides, such an effort is likely to enhance your authority on the subject...etc..
   
   Ultimately, what you do is your own choice.. I was merely trying to get you to back your own skills and write the best you can! That way, you enhance your growth as a writer!

      Thanks for the support. I now fully understood what you meant. It is actually better to channel my energy in the progressive direction rather than dwindle crying over spilled milk. Although the occurrence is puzzling, I will just follow your advice. Thanks.

         Cool... be very careful on this problem, if you are copy and pasting anything.. Just Don't... no matter what... and not biblical scripts etc.. or your work will then trigger to dupe alarms.
         
         Try to consider your work differently... when you have written it.. step back and read it out loud.. as if you are a reader just finding the piece. Ask yourself (as a Reader) "if I were the writer... what more do I need to say.. to make this work great?"
         
         You will be surprised at how well your writing improves once you adopt this practice!

         Always remember, the power of words is free to learn and can be anyone's.. but the power of Great Words costs time and commitment, which is why that power is only shared by a few!  That is what makes words so powerful...

               In 3 years, with just 75 hubs and 988 followers, to say "hope your hubs are as strongly helpful as this comment" is actually an understatement to such value you must have created with such 'few' hubs. Hope you don't mind my being your 989 follower.

                  I write poetry and people throughout the world seem to appreciate the power of some of the words that I use.  Write your Bio on your home page... let people know about you and your country and they will read your words also.. (As long as you don't use Duplicate ones!! ) ... take care mate.

   Yes it is very unusual for different minds to write things exactly the same way.  I bet if you Google the hub text you will find a duplicate.
