When I was trying to view my notifications from a hub I had on the screen, I couldn't see them all because an add kept hovering over them. I reloaded the page to see if it happened again, and it did.

    Here's the screen shot:

I couldn't get it to go away.

This could be an ad issue or a javascript issue. From the screenshot, it looks like the ad was covering the notifications menu, but it doesn't look it it expanded or moved. Did the ad itself change in size or move from its fixed location?

No need to bump, Cagsil, and a reminder that bumping is against the forum rules.

Dang. I don't see it in the forum rules though. I might be wrong.

The forums state that you're not allowed to post to thread, unless you add to the thread. This what Jason is talking about. I find it way out in left field, but I'm not the interpreting the rules.

Adding "bump" or "bump this thread" adds nothing to the thread of value, but does add just another post.

OK. Doesn't sound like an ad issue to me. I also couldn't reproduce it on my computer. I've escalated this to engineering and will report back!

Has this continued to be an issue? We believe it was an isolated incident caused by a particular ad or set of ads, and we'll be on the lookout for it (we need to reproduce it in order to fix it). Please report back if this becomes a regular problem.

This may be prying, but I have this problem on my blog (don't worry, it's not competition, it's horrible)... not with an ad, but with my header bar. What was the cause of this bug?

I often have this problem too. For me it is intermittent. It doesn't always happen but it does every once in a while. I figure it is just an error either in the script in the add, in the drop down menu or both. It's a minor annoyance. If I could make it stop I would but if I can't then I'm not worried about it.
