Can you add back the Text box / Shape Outline that noted "What did you think?" or whatever it was that made the Feedback Area seem to stand out before? It now blends into the background and I find that I am not receiving feedback as often. I have been forgetting to leave some as well because I scroll right down to leave my comment, then sometimes get distracted with "What Others Are Reading" and click off the page.
Also, can the feedback once again be right above the comments? It seems to make more sense that you would leave feedback, leave a comment, and then move to another page, like on the Phone Version where the "Related Hubs" are under the comments.
It cut off my title and I didn't notice. I apologize. This should say "Can you bring back a note to leave feedback or ask "What did you think?"
Thanks for the suggestion, EyesStraightAhead.
The amount of HubFeedback that is left daily is one of many of the metrics that we look at to measure what's working (or not) on the new Hub design, and we did several rounds of testing to find the optimal place for it.
In the new design, we moved it to the end of the Hub...before the ad unit, before the related hubs, and before the comments because felt that there was the best place to capture the user's sentiment. If a reader liked the hub, it was there that they were most likely to leave feedback.
Next, we put that hypothesis to the test, and it panned out. Since the new design rolled out, we have seen just north of a 25% increase site wide in the amount of Hub Feedbacks being left.
Similarly, moving the "Discover What Others Are Reading" (a.k.a Related Hubs) to above the comments has seen a similar increase in its click thru rate. This has resulted in readers viewing more Hubs in a visit than in the old design. Good for authors and good for HubPages.
Finally, the number of comments left per day has remained stable.
All in all, it looks like things are working for the better.
That said, I will continue to track this data daily to make sure those trend hold. If they do not, I will surely let you know in this forum thread and let you know what we are going to do to address it, should it come to that.
Thank you for the response. It looks like I am one of the few who miss it. I will pay attention from now on. (Maybe I am not as welcoming of change as I like to think?!)

Does it bother you that people visit your hubs and don't leave comments? What's more important to you, getting tons of traffic with no comments or getting less traffic with comments? For me, I love to get comments because it lets me know if I have touched someone or given someone a new way of doing...

Today I received a very hateful, spiteful message on one of my hubs from a visitor named "Local Yokel". Just wondering if anyone else has heard from this individual. I have a pretty thick skin, but this one really got to me.

If I am not wrong comments were moderated before we were given the chance to view them and choose to accept or deny it, at least in case of unregistered users. Am I wrong in thinking this was the case and it was just something on QnA?If it was, is this no longer the case?I have been getting a lot...

I like to write reviews on products and the addition of a 5 star box is great, but it only allows one per hub. It would be nice if we could have more than one that way we could rate products on individual characteristics as opposed to an overall view. For example, if I were rating a product, I'd...
