Sometimes as I'm browsing HubPages, instead of an ad, I get this weird jumbly mixture of letters

This screenshot was taken at about 3AM today (EST) from a hub category that I think was called "locations" I went to check for it again, but am having trouble finding that particular category.
In creating this thread, I went to look for that category, and am on
http://hubpages.com/topics/travel-and-p … tions/5494 where I am seeing the missing ad the same weird code. Image below.

I saved the source of the page, which can be viewed here:

(It's a GitHub gist. I tried to put it on Pastie, but the file was too large.)
I see this weird code instead of an ad on about 15% of pages I view on hubpages.
Melbel, do you have any addons to your browser that may be interfering with ads?
Hehe, not this time.
By the way, Chrome 19.0.1084.52 m, Windows Server 2003.
In checking my Chrome version, it's telling me I need to restart my browser for an update. Perhaps this would do the trick. Updates are always full of bigger and better things.
I looked at that travel category page that you linked to in your prior post. It looks normal with the ad showing. Not like the. Sample image you also listed. So I assume it must be something about your browser. Can you try something other than Chrome? Just to see if you have the same results.
Getting in Firefox occasionally, too. It's not always occurring on that particular page, it just randomly breaks. Sometimes the travel page has an ad showing, sometimes it's that broken code. It's intermittent throughout HubPages.
Thanks for reporting this, melbel. Someone is looking into it.
To clarify, could you list all of the browsers and versions you saw this in?
Engineering says it's most likely an ordinary ad serving issue with one of our partners. This happens occasionally on HubPages and other sites. Unless the problem becomes regular or if we get more reports, you can ignore this.
Out of curiosity, did updating Chrome have an effect?
It appears to have worked when updating Firefox. I'll let you know the verdict on Chrome after a few hours of use. (Don't want to jump the gun.)
I guess I've been very bad at updating. :'( At least it wasn't Firefox 7 or something, though.
Haha, well at least it wasn't IE
Let us know if this becomes a regular problem!
It happened again. I was logged out of HP when it happened. I'd just logged out and saw that a familiar hubber's hub had been tweeted (on hp's log out page) so I went to check it out and the ad was all jumbly on that page. (This happened last night.)
Chrome: 20.0.1132.47 m
No add-ons
Windows Server 2003

If it happened only a couple times, I wouldn't sweat it. Let us know if the problem persists after several page reloads.

Did HP do an update around 4:00 PM, 3/19/13?Ctrl+, slide-right now chops off content and shows white space instead. Happens to me only on this site.Us visually-impaired folks kind of need that.

I've never had this problem before and have always used Chrome. I try to upload a photo or other image from my saved files and the Hubpages uploader can't do it. This is driving me nuts! Anyone got any answers? Please?? Help....help...

Hubpages folks-On almost a daily basis when accessing a hub or trying to access the website I either get blocked with dozens of error messages advising the "something went wrong" and notify Hubpages, or the simple HTTP 404 website not found. In the former case, it locks my computer...

This probably isn't a bug, but it's annoying and I wish Hubpages wouldn't do it. There is an ad which plays sound appearing on some of my hubs. I think it's a cricket ad with the sound of a bat hitting a ball, and a crowd cheering. The ad is also one which appears right at the bottom of the page,...

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

Hi I noticed recently that when hubs are listed in the Google search results the 2nd link doesn't got to the hub but to the category page - for example: You can see the tumblr page has the normal double link to the page ranked - but the hubpage doesn't the 2nd link is to...
