Just wondering is anybody had any tips or advice for increasing traffic to hubs? Mine's pathetically low recently. Thanks.
I'd say write more and pay special attention to writing titles for your hubs. The title is the reason why people decide to read an article in the first place. Also, check your hubs to see how you can improve them in order to encourage readers to interact. Make more comments yourself and work on developing a long-term relationship with your readers. After the Google algorithm updates, I'd say that social media optimization is the key to increasing traffic, branding and everything else.
Check your hub catagories. They may be in a totally different area than your topics. I would also check the summery to see if there is anything that you can add or change. Good luck.
I would try to use keywords in the summary to help pinpoint searches also, tags, even if search don't see them, helps HP add, ads
Your account here is only three weeks old. It usually takes about 6 months to get a take off in traffic. A thousand views in the first three weeks is not so bad.
Are you using college essays, a lot, incidentally? If you are, it might be worth mentioning the word 'essay' in the summary.
Breaking the text up into more paragraphs might help and more pictures.
You could also look at the Google adwords tool. 'A posteriori proof for God' gets almost no searches online, for example, whilst 'f'ive proofs of god aquinas' gets 1300 searches per month. Of course you might not get on the front page of search with the latter term.
Hubpages should probably have a special section for college essays.
I've been on here for about two months now and usually publish one hub a week. The first 4-6 weeks, I wasn't really getting much traction (usually 10-20 impressions daily). The last two weeks have really ramped up (20-60 daily impressions) and I haven't done much differently. My theory is that some of my hubs that have a popular title are starting to show up higher in search results because Google Analytics are showing organic hits from a variety of search engines (but mainly Google).
It looks like you've had over 1000 views in 3 weeks. If thats the case then you are setting a very good pace for just three weeks in, and if you have the same trend I've had (impressions shooting up after 4-6 weeks) then you should really notice a difference at that point.
Obviously getting hits from other Hubpages members are great. But getting a hub listed high on search results is where the big traffic comes from. Keep at it, obviously you're doing something right considering how many views you've had in just three weeks.

This morning I received an email from a Hubpages staff member regarding Google snippets (ie, Google Answer box) with this link. I would just like to say that this is something VERY worthwhile. I have been working on ranking this way for over a year, and so far am doing quite well with it. Remember...

Is there a way to see the total amount of views my hubs get on a daily basis even if that number will not be 100% accurate?

Have you sacrificed your reputation for the sake of increasing traffic/earnings?If you haven't, will you? I mean, there is another way of increasing your earnings, and that is to make a controversial hub/post or something against someone. You will have high tendency of having a lot of hits/views,...

What is going on? One week ago I received notification from HubPages that several of my hubs would no longer be featured because of declining traffic. I suppose this means that I should jump in and recast, reformat, and re-invent what had previously been a fully accepted and supported hub.Well, I...
