Just curious, has anyone here setup a successful Blogger blog?

   I have been contemplating about setting a Blogger blog, has anyone had any success on setting up this type of blog?  What are some of your success stories?  Do you have any tips and tricks for Blogger?  I look forward to reading the responses.

      What do you consider successful? I get plenty of traffic on Blogger. It just hasn't translated into big bucks.

   I am getting 30-40 views a day but this has increased from the paltry 1 or 2 views I got about 6 months ago! It's starting to get some traction which is good!
   
   The same tips and tricks that apply to Hupages apply to Google. Keyword Research, good key phrases and key words and quality content....

   I have 4 blogs and only 2 of them are earning.  It seems the more post I put up and the more time goes by the more my earnings increase.
   
   It takes time and a lot of attention and you better be sure your template is seo friendly or you won't get not traffic.
   
   Stay away from any banners and such that cause your page loads to be slow.  Such as flash banners ect...
   
   Make sure you do not put more than 3 ad blocks.  Read the guidelines and TOS.

   It's definitely worth it to post a blogger blog. You get all the learning without the cost of the whole Wordpress buying the domain etc. At first you will get just one or two views a day and hardly any comments because you don't have the group of hubbers looking at your posts. But, soon you sill start to get 20 to 30 visitors a day or more then the comments will come. Not to mention the random adsnese click which you don't have to share with anyone so it can be 1.00 or 2.00 dollars. That's not a lot but it all adds up.

   I just began a blogger blog 4 days ago, I've linked it to my profile and I've done a lot of coding (With help from other blogs of course). It looks somewhat professional. I've not placed any ads and I won't for sometime.
   
   I really want this one to be successful and I'd be accepting guest posts too later on as fresh content keeps the blog in good terms with search engines. I'd love to check out what you create

   Depends on what you class as success when it comes to blogs. I have readers but the blogs do not generate money. I do not really expect them to be earners so it is not a big disappointment. I do think they take a time to build a flow of traffic. It is a good idea to alter them to make them appear different from the blogs standard version.

   I would highly recommend Blogger over WordPress, because Blogger does a lot more for you without you having to know what it's doing, and you don't have to buy a domain name or otherwise pay out any money before you begin blogging.
   
   However, be very careful about adding Google Adsense to your blog, whichever site you choose. You have to have a lot of good content before you try to add your blog to your Google Adsense account. If you don't have enough content, and you're also writing on HubPages, both your blog and your HubPages can be de-indexed. How does that show? Think of your views as dropping like a rock. 
   
   I had only been working on HubPages, and had made my account several months before. I had forgotten that I had several hubs published before adding Adsense to my blog. So I added my blog to Adsense as I was designing the blog. Big mistake! I had to go to Google on my knees, kowtow three times and declare myself a stupid beginner before they took off my invisibility cloak online.

   I have one successful blog, on it I highlight local business' in my area.  I interview the business owners and highlight any specials or unique products they may offer.  I also provide maps, business hours and any other information I feel may be pertinent to the reader.
   
   Besides business', I also write about public attractions and local events.  I receive a couple of hundred views a month, not much but the Google ads are pretty good!

         I earn some from Adsense,  but the best payments I receive are from the business owners themselves.  When I enter many of the business', they always want me to try something, so I can then discuss it on the blog.  I build them traffic and in return I get to sample their wares, the reader receives information on the business. IMO, everybody wins, I would recommend starting such a blog, if for no other reason, it helps your community.

    I have a small blogger blog, it has about 6 pages, and it focused on one product, it's more like a mini website. I have some adsense blocks and some Amazon widgets on it, and I sell about 2 Amazon products a month, it's not a lot, but it is successful in my eyes. I figure if I can make $12 a month with that mini site, I certainly can make more.

          I just sold a $700 product at Amazon through one of my hubs, I was psyched!!!  Then the next day my traffic dropped off into the abyss, if my traffic gets any lower, I'll be at zero   Google sure has a way of keeping us in check
