I've posted in the " need help" forum and finally, a couple of days ago, sent an email to Hubpages asking for help, but no answer.  This is my last ditch attempt to get an answer. Here's the problem.  My hub about the Icelandic Christmas Lads (http://robie2.hubpages.com/hub/Christma … in-Iceland)  about two weeks ago acquired one of those little black " broken link" triangles and I've been trying to fix it ever since.

I have now removed every single link, plus every single picture from the hub.  There are NO links and the little black triangle and broken link message are still there.  Oh and I also replaced the videos with new ones.......  what can the problem be?  Since Hubpages won't answer me my last ditch attempt is to see if somebody here can help.  If not, I will just take it down and keep it for one of my blogs during the Holiday season.  Hate to do that because it gets really quite nice traffic at Christmas time, but I don't want to just leave it there with the broken link message.

Since there are NO links in the hub now, I wonder if anybody can tell me why the broken link message is still there?  What could it possibly be??  If anybody has any suggestions I would be very grateful... Thanks

    If there is nothing here:
    http://hubpages.com/my/hubs/broken-links

Run the recheck using the link at the bottom of your account page

Click the black triangle on your list. It will pop up what link is broken. Gives you the option to ignore or retest it from there.

thank you everybody-- but especially Shadesbreath.  It never occurred to me to click on the black triangle itself. I did that.  There was an option to retest the link and it seems the link is now good.  I guess the little black triangle held the link from before I removed it from the post-- whatever.  I think it will work now and I have learned something new-- click on the black triangle to get to the broken link duh!!!  seems simple now that I know about it:-)))))

      All's well that ends well.

Wow, what a shame that you deleted all your links and pics.  I always click on "broken links" from "my account".  This lists all the broken links for each hub with broken links.  I can look down the list and decide how to prioritize my time to fix links.  I have unpublished about 20 hubs, so I got tons of broken link notifications each time I unpublished something, but this was a quick fix to simply delete the link.  Broken YouTube links means searching and selecting another link, so I tend to put those off.

Everything is fine now-- I put back updated and even better links and pix and while I was at it I rewrote the summary with better( I hope) keywords.  So all's well that ends well.  Thanks for caring though--- much appreciated and thanks for the tip.  Good to know:-)
