I have not been as active as I should be on here lately and noticed my traffic has been going down. Of course, I have not really recently written that many articles in the last several months so this may just be my hubs going down in traffic because they are not as popular.
I have a hard time writing during the summer time because I can't think of any good hubs.
Yes.
Plus it's the depths of summer when Americans all make their last ditch efforts to take an extended vacation. The usual pattern is that traffic won't come out of the doldrums until after Labor Day, when everyone goes back to work and back to school.
Good to know! I was wondering why my traffic had decreased as well.
Thanks relache.
That would make sense. Well I guess I will have to see what happens in the next couple weeks. In the meantime, I better come up with some topics for this fall.
That's interesting. My traffic's been rising in recent days.So maybe a recent google update carried me past the doldrums. Who knows how this works?
There was a reported Panda update this Monday 21st August:
http://searchengineland.com/google-pand … 9-1-131284
This hit me hard with my traffic falling to around 20% of it previous value yesterday. Google analytics real time was painful to watch with usual 20 ish visitors reduced to somewhere between 3 and zero!
Fortunately my traffic is coming back up again and has roughly doubled since last night.
Not Sure if hit by Google Panda or just lost some traffic because of old hubs losing traffic.
Ah, I may have been hit by this then. But also it could just be because of what internet users are doing this time of the year like Relache pointed out.

After the alleged Google alogrithim update probably after 10 December my traffic has fallen drastically from more then 150 views per day to 50. Traffic was steadily rising but after 10 dec it suddenly plunged showing no signs of recovery. (hubs have remained unchanged).

Sorry if this has been discussed already ad nauseam (I was out of town a bit), but I was experiencing an uptick on several sites following the rollout of Panda 4.2, that seems to have been eradicated on August 14, 2015. In fact my website went almost to 10% of normal pageviews since August...

Hi all. Have been away for a while. Can you please update me to the effect that the niche sites have had on your hubpages if any. Look forward to chatting with you all my fellow hubbers!

Hey, who's been reading up on this and what are your predictions for this update? Any word from the HP team about how they foresee this going down? I know we're all affected by core updates throughout the year but this is the first one that I feel like we've had a heads up about in a while....

There's a Google core update rolling out. In recent times, these have been generally hitting us negatively. Link below to SE Roundtable for those interested:http://www.seroundtable.com/google-augu … 35927.html

For anyone seeing a sudden dip or rise in traffic, be aware that Panda is rampaging again:http://searchengineland.com/panda-update-rolling-204313This may be good news for some who lost traffic in the August update, and it will be bad news for others.
