Page Impressions, Page views and Traffic

   Well guys, Firstly i am sorry if i am posting this thread in wrong section. I think this is the proper section for this thread.
   
   
   
   Actually, i am analyzing the page impressions and page views of all of my live hubs and its significantly increasing day per day. But, the fact is, page impressions shown in hubpages stats vastly vary with what is shown by google analytics. The screenshot i uploaded here of September 4th where it show there were approx 53 page views, but when i see the impressions in hubPages, its not even the half. I don't know if there is other mechanism or not. I hope, someone will clear this confusion!!

   Each of the system has its own algorithm on which the whole system works, it changes from time to time. You must see the hub pages help or have to see the relevant hubs that shows how to increase traffic? and some what like these.

   If you will take the HP number at midnight PST, add the slide views and multiply it by .6 you should be fairly close to analytics. That's when googles day ends, so it has to be the 24 hour HP figure as well or it won't work.
   
   The numbers will never equal each other, but they will be close on most days.  Neither analytics nor HP is perfect, but I've found that system to work pretty well.  Plus, the more visits you have, the better the correlation usually is.  Part of your problem could well be that if HP updates their stats a 1/2 hour after midnight and misses 10 views just before midnight it can throw the relative numbers way out of whack.  10 views is 20% of your daily traffic, after all.

      Exactly.
      
      Hubpages works on a rolling 24 hours, GA is on a static 24 hours.
      
      Hubpages takes 40% of impressions.

         Thankx for all the replies. I was unaware that hubpages take 40% of our traffic. Thankx for all these infos. Anyway, I am still getting confused about the mechanism of CPM calculation. I am feeling, the more impression I get, the less the CPM is.

            It varies widely day to day, and lately it seems even more variable.  I'm seeing day to day figures that change by 50% or more.
            
            This is the result of varying amounts that HP is paid for the same ad, coupled with varying source of traffic in your stats; some subjects pay more and if your traffic that day is primarily to those topics the CPM will go up.

   As far as I am aware, Google Analytics show all your pageviews, not just your 60% time share of them, as does HP stats.
   
   There was a glitch just in the last week or so, where Hubpages views and Analytcis did not even remotely match up, even allowing for the 24 hour rolling stats on HP.
   
   Like - Analytics 600, HP 23.
   
   Staff assured me it was a glitch they were working on, and I believe it is all fixed now, but of course there may well be the odd case where it hasn't cleared up.

   G/A  went real-time when I checked about a month ago. Since their new wishy-washy algorithm I have removed it from many sites. Being penalized for after 7 years of praise just isn't worth associating with a company I believe is engaged in shady practices.
