I submitted a hub, 'Sweet temptations 2 : Gram flour and semolina balls', in the topic 'Food and cooking', on 7th Sept. 2012. It is still showing as 'pending' status, though it shows a page view as 26. Help!
Do you mean pending as in:
-Awaiting moderation? This can take 3-5 days or more depending on the backlog of hubs. The views may be from you visiting the hub yourself.
-Idle status indicator? People can still visit the hub even while it's in pending idle status.
I have been writing to HP for the last two days and have received no mail regarding the matter.
The matter is I posted an article titled 'Tribute to the Teachers-cum-Freedom Fighters on 5th Sept, the Teacher's Day in India, and their short Biography' on 5th Sept. Till 24 hours it showed the 'pending' symbol on 'My Account'. After 24 hours that means on 6th Sept it changed into the 'Featured' symbol. So, I expected it to be indexed by Google within few hours as it used to be before this 'idle, featured and pending' feature got activated. Alas! it's not like that.
While searching for my article on Google till today it 's not there rather I found three interesting aspects on Google:
Firstly, the last hubber who commented on my article her profile comes up with a reference that she commented on so and so article (read as my article).
Secondly, An article on the same topic was flashed with the hub topic instead of my name as the author but reference given was related with my work. While I clicked the site the page with such hub topics on HP came up but mine was not there while the short reference given was totally related to my article. Now, that very link is also missing on Google.
Thirdly, This link came up after the second aspect went missing. My profile link is coming up but with the references of my other articles and not the one I mentioned above.
It is confusing as well as worrying matter. If a new feature brings in so much of hurdles in indexing our new articles on Google that means we are loosing visits and that leads to the loss in earning.
Don't you think that HP staffs should take this matter into consideration and resolve the matter? But, it seems they are least bothered because they have not shown any interest in answering my mail while I informed them in details. Except about the link of my profile page which I noticed after sending them an Email.
This time I am really dissatisfied by the ways of HP staffs. My hard work has simply went in vain, but why and who is responsible for this?
Expecting some help regarding the matter. Thanks in advance.
... Why don't you just ping or tweet it? That gets most content crawled pretty fast.
All there strange things have happened to me at some time or other in the past. Why don't you submit your page to Google in webmaster tools. Go to health and add an article. My hub was released from pending Thursday and is not indexed yet. However, this index delay has happened to others. It is very frustrating to say the least.
Thanks WryLilt, for replying. My problem is settled now. May be there was a backlog of hubs.
Have you edited the hub at all during the 24 hour processing period, because if you do then the 24 hour period is reset, so you have to wait another day. I found this out with my latest hub Here's a link to the learning centre entry that should hopefully clear up any confusion: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/Feat … -Idle-Hubs
Firstly, as far as I remember I did not edit within 24 hours.
Secondly, the HP shows the little dot as 'featured' next to the article.
Thirdly, I first published it on 5th Sept and today is 10th Sept.
JKenny, thanks but where are the HP staffs who should come up and extend their help. I will certainly check the link you mentioned but I sincerely believe that when something new creates a problem then the HP staffs must come forward to solve our difficulties. They are showing negligence towards the problem and loss the authors are facing..
I believe JKenny was referring to the OPs question, not yours.
Hi Shampa!
Thanks for sharing your concern. I wish and hope, your problem is settled soon, as mine has got settled.
My problem still persists. Right now, I searched on Google my article is not there. The same two aspects can be observed as it is. The profile of the hubber who last commented and my profile link come up while I search the article. I am really confused.
Thanks JKenny, for replying. The problem is over now. Thanks for the link.

Is it possible that, even when a Hub is in Idle Status, it could still be found on the Web and get views and thereby come out of Idle Status? I ask this because I was searching the Web on a subject and accidentally found a Hub and when I checked the Hubber's profile, this particular Hub was not...

I know that you can choose to display your idle hubs on your profile page, but I don't, because I don't want Google to see them at all and get confused by all those "do not follow." What this means is that my idle hubs are not available for anyone to see, and I have to actively...

Hi, I understand the recommended article length on Hubpages is 700-1250 words. Will articles longer than 1250 words always be rejected for featured status?

This might be a complete co-incidence, but I switched to the new profile a couple of days ago, and today Google is pretending it doesn't know me. Hubs that ranked on the first page for main keyword are not found in the first 10 pages. Even more worrying, I can't find them in Google even...

I have been experimenting with Google to find new techniques to drive more search traffic and I found one that is quite silly but has doubled my traffic within about a week of updating my hub. Here it is: THE RATING CAPSULEIt's really quite silly, but I added a rating capsule to the bottom of my...

I am presently putting together an article that is not published, obviously. But, I already have a Hub Score showing for it. Any ideas how this can be? Doesn't seem fair does it?I mean how can you score an incomplete article that has not been published yet and a low score to boot? Lower than any...
