It's time for another weekend juice fast for me. I am feeling a lack of energy. Is anyone interested in joining me? We could offer eachother moral support over the weekend. Also, if anyone has any brilliant juicing recipes they'd like to share that would be welcome.

Wonderful ^_^  I would join you but I can't. At the moment I'm breastfeeding so fasting is out of the question. However I love juicing and this is my favorite combo...  I usually make enough for two and a half glasses.

Half the juice is a mixture of
    1 lemon wedge
    grapes
    apple
    an inch of ginger

    the other half..
    carrots
    broccoli
    red cabbage
    cucumber

Sorry I don't have specific amounts.   Plus for my hubby I add a tablespoon of honey, he likes it sweeter and honey is suppose to be good for asthma and allergies... which he has ^_^

Do you literally juice them in halves or just all together?  Sounds refreshing!

My particular juicer's catching cup makes exactly two and a half glasses if I fill it twice... So I usually juice enough of the fruit stuff to fill it... empty the contents into the glasses then fill it again with the veggie stuff.

Maybe next time. Right now I seem to be craving protein.

I created a page on raw juicing with lots of great advice on the powers of juicing. I advise juicing everyday with a healthy diet, not just the weekend. Hope its a success! https://www.facebook.com/RawJuicingandSmoothies?ref=hl

Thanks, Lupita. Juicing is a good way to add fruits and vegetables into your everyday diet. What I'm talking about here is a fast--a cleanse. I've done it before and it gave me loads of energy. I even wrote about it.  But then, later, I saw some potato chips so, I ate them. Then I noticed some dip, and I ate that, too. You get the picture. I'll check out your facebook page to see if you have any recipes I don't already have. Variety is the spice of life!

I did read recently that people in group weight loss have more success than those doing it alone. So, this is good to reach out.
