The government's insistence on holding onto shares hurts GM's ability to make decisions, hurts their company value, and hurts anyone who has invested in it.
No way that they are going to sell for a loss until after the election though.
If they don't want to be government motors why: "Following a $50 billion bailout in 2009, the U.S. taxpayers now own almost 27% of the company"?
Can bail them out but can't have socialism. Neurotransmitter challenged.
Maybe they'd prefer to be taken over by an Italian company like Chrysler was.
