So far I think It's Defense of The Ancients. Even if it's just a MOD map, I have known it since 2004. It is probably older and it's still very popular today.

If you love DOTA, you'll probably love League of Legends, which is one of my all-time favorites.

a mod map of warcraft three. get the map here: getdota.com. it's a very addicting game. more addicting when you play with friends. it never dies or at least it hasn't yet because of the constant changes which also adds interest to the game (I used to think all those updates were for balancing, I realized lately it was a way to keep the game popular).

basically each player has heroes and there are two teams: the sentinel and the scourge. and the main goal is to destroy the sentinel's tree of life or destroy the scourge's frozen throne. there are towers that defend the base and you need to get past them and the opponent's heroes.

      I love Elder Scrolls...

But I would have to say Zelda- Ocarina is my favorite but they are  all great games especially for their time.

Halo 2. Xbox Live would not be the same without it.

I'm not really sure what the best game for me would be. The ideal shooter for me is DooM for it focuses on Hell and does it well. Jericho has an excellent story but is poorly made on disc. Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot are my best platformers, and Medievil for the gloomy and often vigorous soundtrack, oh, and its action/adventure play.

So I can't really choose one. In the words of Motorhead's "Rock 'n' Roll", "I swear I love 'em all, I don't care if they're small, I don't care if that's all I LOVE 'EM ANYWAY!"

Tough one, but I'm gonna go with Resident Evil 2. Scary as hell, at the time but I an remember playing that game over and over. Beating it, and playing it over again from the begining. Definitely a classic. The Zedla series was also awesome. But, there was also Goldeneye for the N64 which revolutionized console shooters. Wow, Bro you brought me back.

Just to throw something different into the mix, I'll say Ultima 7.

Deus Ex: Invisible Wars on XBox.  An absolutely awesome storyline.  If you haven't played it, play it at least once before you get old and kick the bucket.

Even I have to admit that was a good strategy game, especially the Evil campaign. I'm surprised it was all that good ^^

Hitman Series. No crime-themed stealth game can recreate such awesome gameplay moments. Waiting for the latest game by Square Enix.
