Hubs, backlinks, and blogs.

   If you have two blogs, is it a good idea or bad idea, and is it any kind of a violation, or does it adversely affect traffic and other things, to post links to your Hubs from both blogs.

   You can post links to your Hubs from blogs, but you want to make sure it is not over-promotional. 
   There should be no more than two links on each hub to your blogs.  You want to make sure that you write high quality articles which are directly related to the links, not just something you put together to advertise your blogs.

   Just a slight clarification here... you can post as may links as you want in your own personal blogs to point to any of your hubs.
   
   Links from your Hubs to your personal blogs are limited to 2 to any one domain and only then if there are not other links on your page that are in violation of Google's TOS or that they point directly to other affiliate links.
   
   Also, having links on many hubs pointing to the exact same domain is frowned on as well.  Besides, multiple links from one domain or subdomain will lessen their value as links. So placing a link to your hubs from each of your blog posts might give one or two of your hubs some link love but will do little or nothing for anything else you write here.
   
   The goal is to get links pointing to your content from multiple sites but also sites that are in some way relevant to your content.  A link from a blog that writes about 'engine parts' is not likely to give you any benefit on a page that is about 'chicken soup recipes.'

      Thank you, good clarification. I re-read my question and realized I wasn't clear; I was addressing specifically whether on more than one personal blog there should be links to my Hubs. I was wondering whether that could be a problem, particularly with Google. That is an important point you made about too many links to the same domain; so it seems, even from my personal blogs, if I'm linking too much to my Hubs, it could devalue the links. Good to know. What I'm wondering is if I should get rid of links to my Hubs that are posted on my blogs. Or does that create another problem, a sort of disappearing link? I wonder if that would adversely affect search engine results, etc. for the Hubs.

         I don't think you need to remove the links unless they are pointing to non related topics.  The links you have on your blogs will not give you a negative effect though more than 2 pointing to the same domain/subdomain will provide no further benefit.

      Richard, that rule was removed some time last year - it's now "legal" to have the same link on every single Hub if you want!

         My point was that multiple links from the same domain will provide little to no benefit, especially if your hubs are on different topics than those discussed on your blogs.  You actually dilute the link value when you have multiple links from the same domain pointing to another single domain.  Now, if your hub links all pointed to different domains then that could be a help once your hub page gains some page rank.
         
         I didn't mean that they were frowned upon by HP, it's the Google luv that matters.
