      It's less than we were giving the brutal dictator the democratically elected government replaced but here is the question.
      
      Would you rather #1 Possibly the biggest power in the Middle East be radically anti American and anti Israel or would you rather #2 an Egypt that owes a debt of gratitude to the US, not to mention the aid is far from free it is intended to allow us mineral rights to Egypt ahead of other countries.

                  World upside down: It is the DEMOCRATICS promoting ENTITLEMENTS.  We truely want the INCAPABLE of taken care of themselves to have aid. BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT is happening and when you speak up THEIR GREED kicks in! These SELF ENTITLED Democratics are STEALLING from the poor when they are CAPABLE of being self reliance. THERE GREED IS GONE OVER BOARD & they don't seem to want to ADDRESS the subject!

This is not so bad if they wished to keep their corruption internal and not allow it to enter society. That's no longer the case.

            Yup which considering we are talking about the most volatile area in the world just after a revolution is a pretty moderate and statedly non violent group. It's worth the investment to pull them into the center rather than let them become radicalized, it's tough for them to push anti American policies while taking American money isn't it? The people won't buy it. So it's a good idea in my opinion.

   Supporting democracy instead of dictatorship? Yes, I think that's a good cause to fund.
   As I recall, the US received some foreign aid to support our transition into a republic independent from British rule.
   
   As a democracy, Egypt voted in the Muslim Brotherhood -- this time.
   We don't want their transition to fail.
   We don't want their fledgling government to fail.
   We may not like or approve of the party that is now in power in Egypt ( any more than 50% of Americans, at any given time, do not like or approve of the party in power in our own government).
   However, by continuing to support the country, we are helping to ensure there will be more elections in the future.

      Yeah it's terrible, religious and ethnic groups get harassed and threatened all over the world sometimes even with the help and approval of officials, I remember it happening in this country with the Mississippi civil rights killings during freedom summer to list an extreme example. It doesn't mean the Kennedy or Johnson administrations supported it, indeed the feds were the ones who did their best to end it and to fight the intolerance found in the backwards areas of the country, I think the Egypt situation is very similar, the Gaza area is known for it's extremism and it's population for it's intolerance.

   In a 2005 article touting Muslim Brotherhood parliamentary candidates, Morsi invoked the Brotherhood’s motto in making the case that “Islam is the solution”:
   
       “God is our goal. The Messenger is our example. The Quran is our constitution; Jihad is our way and death for the sake of God the highest aspiration.”
   
       He repeated that theme during a campaign appearance last May, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) showed, leading the crowd in chanting “The Quran is our constitution. The Prophet Muhammad is our leader. Jihad is our path. And death for the sake of Allah is our most lofty aspiration.”
   
       That could help explain his affection for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which was created to be a terrorist branch of the Brotherhood, and which has a series of anti-Semitic statements in its charter.

      Hamas was expelled from the brotherhood when they swore non violence thirty years ago. The violence they did engage in beforehand was in my view pretty justified as in mainly against the British occupation, you may remember some American extremists did the same some years back.
      
      As the same man you are quoting explained just after your quote the "death for the sake of God" is not violent but is meant in the sense of self sacrifice 
      
      Yes you are overreacting.
      
      The funny thing is they are a conservative religious group, the main difference is the faith otherwise they are just a slightly more religious version of the Tea Party.
