Do inactive hubs have any impact on an accounts hubscore.
For example, if you have a bunch of unpublished 'work in progress' hubs that you've saved but have yet to publish. Do these impact the overall Hubscore of the account? I'm noticing these types of drafts do have their own scores associated.
Is this more of a generally rating to help you determine the quality of a hub while its in progress? or is there any further influence on your over all account rating.
Thanks everyone.
I believe I read somewhere in the hubpages tutorial, that unpublished hubscores don't affect your overall score because they have not been published on that. Don't quote me on that because I could not find that in the Learning Center. But it makes sense.
I know a lot of people don't stress over the hubscore, but I think she's right about some people being more inclined to read your stuff if your hubscore is in the 90's. I have not been active for a couple of weeks due to sick kiddos, but I went from a hubscore of 94 to 88. My traffic dipped a little but it could have been to the google update too.
I'm competitive with myself so I like to see how high I can get the score. But that's just for my own personal goals.
It's said that the hubscore serves no real function though it continuously drops does makes one wonder at the 'who' behind it I know of one gal who hasn't returned when her score nosedived and haven't seen her since, and her Hubs weren't 'spammy' I would just ignore it over all and just stick to your writing and try to enjoy yourself.
I like the score to gauge how active or inactive I am. I do see it dip down whenever I do less and climb as I do more. Not just posting hubs, but browsing, leaving comments (such as this one), etc. And for those not familiar with Hubpages, it may decide if someone reads your hubs or not. Everyone is familiar with a scoring system of 0 - 100. If I see a "90" I would be more apt to check out that person rather than someone with a "50".
Though, most new hubbers start out with a low score. So everyone has to start from somewhere.
That may be the case for Hubbers, but not for the general public. 90% of our readers are not browsing around profiles or in the forums, they're reading Hubs. Our scores don't show on our Hubs. The navigation on HubPages encourages readers to move from Hub to Hub, not to go to our profile, so most readers never even see profiles. Therefore the score is of no relevance to the readers who make you money, they're only of relevance to other members - and I, for one, stopped noticing them years ago.

Its funny to me that a new 1400+ word hub is still low in ranking than an unpublished hub...

I thought I knew the answer to this question. But something interesting happened in the last week which I found it hard to explain. I'd be interested to hear opinions.I have a hub which is nine months old and had just reached 250-300 hits per day.I was experimenting to see how many tags I could use...

After 6 months on the site i've started the really wonder how many backlinks is a reasonable number to any hub, and really to a hub becoming successful? Or is it simply a lottery. What kind of figures do other hubbers consider?

This really isn't a problem, but rather something I am interested in finding out. I have a few unpublished hubs with little to no content in them, and the thing is, one of these hubs outranks one of my published hubs! I am wondering why that happens and if it is any indication of how good the hub...

My hubscore is usually from 96 at its lowest to 100 at its best but today it has dropped down to 89 and then to 88 while I have been on the site! This is worrying, especially considering that I posted a new hub last night and thought my score would go up not down!

Just puzzled: How can an unpublished hub attain a higher score than any published hub? (The published hubs with lower scores must be pretty bad!)
