If you're voting for Romney

   I have to ask this simple question? Which issue are you in favor of that Romney supports? The one he expressed last year, last month, last week or todays? I have never seen a candidate change his position so much! Then within hours or minutes his campaign quickly clarifies what he meant? Perhaps you're voting on the premise of after elected he will show his plan on any given issue? I'm sorry folks, I don't buy a car without testing driving it, much less vote for a candidate who changes his position over and over again!

      I am in favor of the positions supported in the Republican Platform.   And a Candidate who changes his mind to adhere to those positions is, at the very least, much better than the Candidate who now sits in the White House and adheres to wrong beliefs, period, without even considering changing his mind.

   I liked Romney version 4.3. Or was it 5.1? I get so confused with the upgrades that come out seemingly hourly.
   Has there ever been a candidate whose campaign, on a regular basis, has to recant what their guy actually said and say it was not what he meant?
   How many times can they get away with this tactic?
   
   I hope you get good response to your thread.
   Would very much like to hear from anyone who claims to know what Romney's positions really are. Are they the ones on his website?

   I've said this before: GOP primary Mitt was not the real Mitt. That was the Mitt who was trying to win over the far right. I had hoped the more moderate Mitt was still in there somewhere, and it seems that he's emerging. Is it right for candidates to skew to the left or right in order to win their party's endorsement? No, it's not, although most of them do it. Obama did it in 2008, which angered many on the far left once Obama won the election and didn't follow through on some of his more progressive stances. Romney is probably angering some TPers as we speak. I can understand some far righties being upset with moderate Mitt because he's not what they thought they were getting. I, for one, am glad to see the old Romney back.

   I am not worried about Mitt that comes anywhere close to the concerns I have regarding the current President.  Four more years of Obama will destroy this nation...anything else is secondary at best.  ~WB

   So it does bother some people -- albeit not those who are Romneyites regardless -- that we dont know which Romney is the real Romney?
   Is this not rather dangerous?
   Does the extreme right own him or not? I believe they surely think they do. Without their $$$ support he would not be in this position.
   
   We're not talking minor changes of position here. We are talking complete 180s on major issues like REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS.
   I find it frightening that he can play so fast and loose with such a fundamental issue.
   Either he is pro-life or he is pro-choice.
   He used to be pro-choice, but made the choice to be pro-life to get the nomination.
   He then selected as his running mate Paul Ryan, who is an extremist on the pro-life issue (as in, co-sponsoring legislation with Todd Akin).
   SOMEONE is being major league hoodwinked here.
   
   The thing is, he's already "won" the base. So now he can troll in the moderate zone and pull in unsuspecting undecideds by "softening" his positions.
   
   I don't know about you, but I would really, really, really like to know where he REALLY stands on this issue, as well as Obamacare (which as we know is modeled on Romneycare).
   
   Will the real Mitt Romney please speak up?
