Will you ask Santa for salvation?

    Why or why not?

Since Santa does not promote or encourage human sacrifice, he would be a much better candidate than God to ask for salvation.

Did Santa have his son murdered?

You don't remember the Great Elf Eradication of 1978?  Those were dark, dark times...

lol However, the lumber industry didn't take as much of hit considering the size of the coffins.

No, I was once a follower of Santa, but I can know is the light. I see Santa for what he really is and it's not pretty. Santa opens up little minds to the concept of spirits. Children are told he goes to every house in the world in one night. Kids know it's impossible but we make them swallow it by telling them yet another lie that he bring all those presents. Once they buy into that we introduce God (another spirit that is equally impossible) and their hooked.

No thanks, I haven't seen any presents under the tree that I didn't buy.

      Happy Holidays. Ba humbug.

Ah, pipe down, Ebenezer!  tongue  Even without Santa, Christmas is an awful lot of fun.  Good food, nice music, friends and family.  Even YOU can't say those are bad things, cranky pants.  wink

Salvation from Santa means cookies.  I don't part with cookies so easily.  I'd have to think about it.

Did anyone see that Ali G show where he was interviewing some priests (IIRC) and pretended to get Santa and Jesus mixed up? One of the most cringe-inducing moments I've ever seen.

We need more Ali G in these religious forum posts, that's for sure.  Have you seen the Ali G interview with the Surgeon General? It's my favorite.

I like it. Santa is so cool. I suppose if you put the spirit of Santa into your heart you would be on your way to salvation. As for Christians we are supposed to love and love. Seems to me that Santa's spirit is one of love. It is no accident He comes on Christmas.

I have accepted Santa into my heart.  He has continuously blessed me with toys, festive holiday decorations, and lots of Xmas snacks.  Unfortunately I have been mysteriously stricken with diabetes.  Santa assures me it is not from the toys, decorations, or Xmas snacks, so I cannot figure out what it could be.
