Why did my earnings for the month just go from $1.42 down to $1.40?

I am not sure I understand your question completely. Are you saying that your earning from HubPages is $1.42 per month?

Yes, I only have 14 hubs so far and this is my first month. It showed that I earned $1.42 this month and then I looked again and now it says I only earned $1.40  ...  If it keeps going down, I'm going to be broke....lol.

        Make sure that it wasn't a tax-cut!

I bet what happened was that it wasn't the finalized earnings. From what I understand if there is an asterisk by it, then it could change... but so glad you got to put your 2 cents in.. teehee..

The earnings figure is not finalized when it has an asterisk beside it.

If they have to make adjustments, your earnings will go up or down if CPM changes.

It shouldn't change again after the asterisk disappears.

Hopefully the next time your estimated income is adjusted, it will go up. That happens sometimes, too. Crossing my fingers fer ya! smile

LOL!  Thank you, it's up to $1.78, woohoo!  I might have to go out and celebrate!

Wooho is right! I know that's not much, but for your first month I think you're off to a great start. Congrats!

That happened to me once, with pending earnings. Mine changed by 10 cents. Glad it wasn't 10 dollars...
