I'm pretty sure that I had nothing to do with that.  Rather, I think it was probably more a matter of his parents who forced him to perform when he just wanted to be a kid.  That I reaped the benefit of that, well, not my fault.  I had no idea and I was just a kid too.  I have to blame it on someone with a bit more authority than me!

However some kid stars are in the limelight for years and do just fine, so it all depends on the person.  None of us are perfect, and I know my dad said some things I did not like growing up, which he did not say to my sisters, but I try to keep that in the past.  I do not want to let what people said or did to me to effect who I am today, but each person handles things differently I suppose.  Jackson did have a dysfunctional childhood, but there comes a time as adults that we need to reconcile that parents are not perfect, and that all we can do is grow and learn from their mistakes.

Hasn't really sunk in yet. My favorite performer of all time. He was the ultimate.

Do you think Michael King of Pop should be compared to Elvis the King of Rock and Roll?

MJ was bigger in his prime and Jacksons popularity will live on long after his death and the bad press will fade over time!!

Am I the only one thinking "who cares"? I mean, rest in peace and all that, but this has been non-stop on every news outlet for almost 24 hours now.

You'd think the pope/president/superman had died fighting off mutant creatures from outer space from the way the media is frothing about this, rather than some nutty reclusive former star who was quite possibly a pedophile.

No, I'm quite sure there are others like you who thinks "who cares."  Many do not have the ability to recognize extraordinary talent.
