Nobody official has confirmed his death, for the record.  It's just TMZ speaking on hearsay.

He is (was) 50. That's unreal. Michael Jackson 50. I've heard reports that he is in a coma and that he is dead. He can't be both.

He was involved in many wierd things, true, but he was really a great artist and his work must and will be remembered!

Already wrote a hub in memorium to him!

R.I.P.MJ, may you be black or white!

It certainly is an odd day, first Farrah Fawcett and now MJ. In a way I feel bad that the coverage of Farrah -- who fought such a valiant fight against cancer -- is being totally overshadowed by Michael Jackson.
    I guess both are tragic.

Well said Mighty Mom, my sentiment exactly. CNN just had hours worth of MJ coverage and just a few minutes of Farah Fawcett.

I absolutely agree, she struggled to be recognized for more than her looks, struggled with cancer and is now the footnote for the day the "King of Pop" died. Sad.

Michael Jackson, King of Pop, will always be remembered. May he rest in peace.

I honestly didn't find humor in it at all, as nobody wants anyone to die. The Jacksons are very good friends of my husband's family end of discussion for me. sad

My condolences to his family and friends, and to Farrah Fawcett's family and friends.Michael Jackson was a musical wonder, with dances and videos that moved most of the world. I only ever saw love in his approach to life.

Farrah Fawcett was a wonderful person as well as an actor she was active in many ways to better society.
I believe it was a huge loss to the world in one day.

It's pretty near impossible to ignore the MJ coverage. It's dominating the news -- well, it was until Sarah Palin managed to upstage him today.

I've watched a couple of specials and interviews with Michael that really endeared him more to me. He was not only a phenomenal talent, but a very, very loving man who had a lot of scars that just couldn't heal.

I'm really sorry to think his life was foreshortened by drugs. But it's not at all surprising. May he get some peace in death.

I think way to much coverage has taken away from others that also made an impact in the entertainment industry.
