   The thinker part is our organic part. But it must be synergized with passion. Even the simpleist commercial writing of 150 words with a short tail keyword requirement can be made beautiful. The key to making it a great piece of writng is plugging into the equation some deep thought and arised passion. I can get passionate about a camoflage wedding dress or how hail forms.
   I had a good article rejected by a client. So no pay. The article is published now. I can dig it. They probably used a machine to reject it.

      You hit the nail on the head when you said that you need passion.  Without passion and only intellect, it lacks something and readers  can sense it.  Have you ever noticed that there are people who aren't the best writers or even not that very educated but have intense passion, and that they reach more people through that passion?  It does have to do with things like technicality and subject matter etc.  People though who write with passion go beyond the scope of the topic.  I have tried in the last few years to pick a new topic and become a passionate expert...to learn how to bring passion into whatever topic I have in front of me.  It doesn't always work but it does teach me how to elaborate on parts of a topic others will feel a passionate connection too.  You can turn out hundreds of writings a month but if there isn't a piece of your soul in each one you didn't spill the blood sweat and tears to make it a success.  Reaching people that don't know you and pulling them in through emotion by simply using words is what makes your writing a success.

         Wonderful sentiments. I think some of my favorite hub authors are Indian without perhaps the best English skills. But the passion is awesome and beautiful. Some atheist type writers get so carried away with their passion it amazes, and I like it.

               It is hard for me but I must bend my knee and beg them to tolerate me so that I can learn of their ways. But bustin through that pride and engaging, is more valuable than any mansion of earth.

         It is hard for me. But the other day I read a comment to a hub that expressed a change of heart because of the hub. I studied that hub and hubster hard and found nothing awe inspiring or miraculour,,,--- for me. If we touch a stranger that is writing to live, if we make a buck that is writing for a living.

   All excellent answers but I wonder don''t we have to be great Emoters   as well as being a thinker ! What is a story well though out .......if not for the emotional attachment ! The writer and the reader .
