Hello everyone
I was wondering if there is a way to create an RSS feed for individual hub groups that I have created?
The RSS is based on tags, not groups. You can accomplish what you want by including the group name in the tag for each hub.
sleepylog, you can do it for individual groups as I do it for each of my groups. Just include the group name in the tag as well as well as see that the same group is chosen in the group box that is to the right of the summary button in the edit mode.
When you create RSS feed on hub group basis each recent hub related to the group will appear at the top of theRSS feed list.
I have tried that but it tells me there are no articles in the groups, yet I know there are.
The tags are what you set up when you are writing or editing the hub. They are on the right side of the page under the tabs that include summary, etc.
The groups can also be added in that section or through the accounts page.
Are you sure you are not confusing the two? The groups affect which of your hubs will appear at the bottom of your hub, and the tags affect which ones will show up on RSS capsules.
Wow, way over my head. Maybe I just won't bother. Thanks all for taking the time to answer me though.
Here is the related learning centre hub - http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/rss-capsule
It makes it all simple to understand
You can add Tags under edit mode - right hand side of page.
Just make sure you have the same tag in each group so that they will show up on the feed.
If you follow Izzy's link and do put RSS feeds in, make sure that the hubs showing up are truly relevent to the hub with the feed in it. Otherwise HP will unpublish for unrelated links. Simply having the same tag, group or author does NOT make it relevant.
I have tried using the tags, but it keeps telling me that there are no articles found in the RSS feed, even though I have other articles using the same tag. It is a tag that I have only just added. Does it take a while for new tags to register? Could that be why?
And thank you for the link, it does explain things very clearly. It's just not working for me for some reason with a specific tag.
I am trying to remember as it's been a while since I added a new rss feed, but yet I think there is a time delay of around an hour after adding tags.
Is it working now?

I really can't point any of you to the many discussions there were about whether RSS feeds that display our own Hubs in a specific Hub of ours are a violation of the HP rules or not.I read info that the "best", "latest", and "hot" categories were not appropriate to add...

How does RSS feed work and how would you use it to promote your Hubs?

Hi I recently received a warning, which I did not understand, but which, it turned out, actually referred to links to my own hubs ~ unrelated ones. I eventually sorted it out.I wondered why RSS feeds to our latest / best / hottest hubs were supplied, if we couldn't use them. Then I was told that we...
