You can add it manually through Google Webmasters at www.google.com/addurl.html if you choose.

I believe your site receives a better ranking if it is found naturally (via links) than if you submit it manually. If you can't wait go for it I suppose.

Yea same thing here. I published two hubs around 13 days ago normally they are indexed the same day or at least by a Thursday. The other search engines indexed them though I hope google isn't slapping hubpages or something like that. Have the other engines indexed your hubs as well?

'featured by HP' is pretty meaningless -- all it takes is 1 or 2 hits a month and a hub is 'featured'

Sometimes it takes a while for Google to get around to crawling things- sorry for the delay!!

That also has me confused Google crawled my site > 5 times since publication and still did not index it.

Go to sites which curate content and submit your link there. Find a relevant topic or niche where it will be welcome.

Start at Scoop.it or Snip.it - I like both of those. Better yet, join up and become a content curator so you can feature your own links in your own topics.

      http://www.scoop.it/

Google likes finding your links on sites other than HubPages. You will get indexed sooner if you have some clout (Klout too). http://klout.com/#/thatgrrl

be careful -- while google likes links, it penalizes links from link-farms like those mentioned, , shetoldme, reddit, etc

"Google doesn't crawl all the pages on the web, and we don't index all the pages we crawl. It's perfectly normal for not all the pages on a site to be indexed."

How do you know whether your article is indexed by Google or not?

(I am rather ignorant in these matters, I'm afraid - I just write and hope for the best ... )

Copy the url of your article into the Google search field. If you see it in the search results - it's indexed.

A Hub I posted only 4 days ago is indexed in Google.  I'm not seeing any issues.
