The small right hand corner pop up is very annoying. It is a video pop up about 4 inches by four inches. I have even had a friend who reads my Hubs ask and complain about it. Pop ups are very annoying to people. They do not like them.
I have Firefox set to block all pop ups and it still pops up and plays the video.
It is a ad choices pop up.
Below is a photo I took of the pop up.
You are right!! Especially if you are working on a project and the pop-up will not go away or let you continue with your project until you get rid of it.
The worse ones are the ones that pop-up all the time!
There should be no popup or over ads on the site. Is it appearing on specific Hubs? Did it start after you visited a particular site?
This one is especially annoying. It will not let the page load until it loads. I wish they would get rid of it. ASAP
The system I run has no spyware or adware on it. I checked at two friends houses and the pop up is there. It is also there at a friend of mine in Montana. It is a video from ad choices and it is popping up out of the right hand corner. You can X it out but when you reload the page it is back.
I just walked across the room and checked on another system and it is there also on that system.
It is on the main page and on individual hubs.
Can you provide an example of a Hub on which you see this ad?
The picture I took of it in the thread was on the main page. I just Xed it out a few minutes ago on the main page. But now when I reload the main page it is not there. It was a Honda Odyssey Ad the last time for me.
Just caught it on the my feed page. You know its there when it starts talking. That time it was the Jolly Green Giant talking.
It is that lower right hand side and it is a pop up
Thanks for the examples! I have forwarded this to our ad team so we can address the issues.
Google AdSense policy prohibits ads with autoplay audio. Since the Green Giant ad is being reported (and based on the image) as an AdSense ad, my guess is that it is rogue ad that accidentally slipped in. These problems are usually resolved within a couple of days. Keep us posted if you continue to experience it and we'll contact AdSense.
The Kindle popup looks to be served by "couponmazing" which seems to be a desktop application that delivers ads via browsers to users who have installed the app. Is couponamazing / amazing coupon familiar, crazyhorseghost? Even if not, try these instructions on their website for opting out of the ads.
My computer has no ad ware or spyware and it was coming up on other peoples computers to including other computers of mine. I have 12 running here in my office. Will have my guy check them though to make sure.
We just went through them all and no coupon amazing was on them. We never download anything and three of them are running Linux. So it is not here. I see the straight talk video ad there now but it has to be clicked to play now. The ones before were self loading.
Ok, interesting. For CouponAmazing, can you try to grab the source code the next time you see it appear on HubPages? You can do that in a couple of ways:
-right click on the page and select View Page Source. Select all and copy the new page, and email it to adops@hubpages.com. Make sure the ad fully loaded on the page before right clicking.
-use firebug, chrome developer tools, etc and choose Inspect Element. Hover over the ad and take a screenshot of the corresponding code. Email the screenshot to adops@hubpages.com
I think the autoplay audio ad (Green Giant) was an AdSense fluke. Those have always been against their policy. Let me know if you encounter an autoplay audio ad again though!

This probably isn't a bug, but it's annoying and I wish Hubpages wouldn't do it. There is an ad which plays sound appearing on some of my hubs. I think it's a cricket ad with the sound of a bat hitting a ball, and a crowd cheering. The ad is also one which appears right at the bottom of the page,...

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

Would it be possible to take the one Adsense ad that is placed on our hubs higher on the page so that readers are more likely to see them. By the time readers get past the Q and A, if they even get that far, it's possible that not many see those ads, which means our income gets affected.

Hello fellow hubbers, hope you all are doing fine!!Over past few weeks i have noticed a few changes in the hubs format, while the sharing buttons have gone down (which is a big letdown) I have also seen one more ad coming on the extreme right hand side apart from the google adsense ad.I hope this...

I noticed at about 9am today that each time I look at any Hub, I get an ad filling my screen at first. Is this a new feature of HP? Thanks. I'm not clicking ads, honest!
