    Hi, everyone!

I would like you to challenge me as a part of my 30 day 30 hubs challenge.

I believe a professional writer should be able to write about anything, despite his beliefs. What's more he should write in a way, to manipulate his audience without them know. After all we are talking about professionalism here and not just hubs "how I spent my day" "how I went to the market"

So if you find this challenge interesting and/or believe you can't be manipulated, please tell me a thing you strongly believe to be true ( e.g. smoking is bad for you, the economy is in crisis, etc. ) and I will write a hub about the opposite ( e.g. smoking is good for you, the economy is stable, etc. )

Note that topics that violate the tos / or are about a belief in the law won't be accepted ( e.g. it is wrong to murder someone - of course it is and I won't write the opposite)

After you've read the hub regarding your belief, if you think I've made a pretty good effort or that I completely failed - comment [:

    Thanks!
I am looking forward to your topics. (you can suggest more than one)

Okay - here's one - I believe we should all be self-reliant as much as possible.  This means that any able-bodied person (male or female) should strive to support themselves and their family.

Those who are incapable of it are exempt (so that's not part of my belief), and spouses who choose for one mate to stay home with the kids are exempt.  My belief is not an 'anti-welfare' statement (that's a different issue).  It's more a statement about the decisions of some people to go through life on someone else's ticket.

Thanks for your idea Marcy, I will try to do my best in writing my article. I see you are a strong believer, so don't give me hard time if I don't actually change my mind. I hope you will give me points for trying and the effort I will put in when writing the hub.

P.s. Note that whatever I write - I am not a bad guy, it's just the challange [:

      Professionalism -

I believe a professional writer should be able to write about anything, despite his beliefs. What's more, he should be able to  manipulate his audience without their realization. After all, we are talking about professionalism here and not just hubs like "how I spent my day" or  "how I went to the market".

If you are talking about my grammar, go ahead ... Grammar is not that important, you know .. It's all about what you say and how you say it ... so yeah, my grammar is not perfect, but that's what editors are for. To fix up your article. I still believe a writer should be able to write about anything ... Plus, we are all here to have fun, right ... I am doing this so I can embrace my creativity [:

          It is to a professional.

I don't know about you, but I have an editor. I've written a book (currently being published) in Bulgaria and ... well .. nobody from the publishers told me anything about my grammar ... Probably because professional writers have editors, but how would you know  ... Well those who express anger and hatred, shall express anger and hatred. I still want to believe that HubPages Community is all about the fun and joy of writing [:

Gun control is a good subject right now in the US. I believe we should have the right to bear arms and own a gun, but I don't believe anyone needs or should have assault weapons that were made for military use.

Hi Barbara, Thanks for your interest. Your topic is quite interesting. Just a quick question ... should my article be for gun control, or definitely against it, saying tat assault weapons should be available everywhere ( or something similar) ... Or should my article be a general "For and Against Gun Control" ?

                Thanks again,
                ID Ivanoff

Hello Ivan.  I applaude your challenging yourself in this way.  After seeing many of your posts I think the greatest proof you could provide that you can indeed take either side of any issue and present a compelling arguement would be to have you do a hub arguing that Jesus is the Creator and savior of mankind.  Based on the views you have expressed, if you can take this challenge seriously and make a compelling arguement for Christ you will indeed have proven yourself to be the versatile writer you aspire to be.  I will watch with genuine interest and look forward to your Hub.

You, my friend, got yourself a stellar hub ...

I will inform you, when my hub is ready smile [p.s. I am currently going to bed, so it will be at least 12 hours from now]

Hi Ivan! Ok, so what about one of these phrased however you like....'It's bad for your career to sleep on the job' or 'eating fast food everyday is bad for you' or 'it's a bad idea to eat meat if you're a vegetarian' - would be fun to see you turn one of those around:)

  4. Ivan Ivanov profile image61
    Ivan Ivanovposted 11 years ago

    Thanks, Simone!

And thank you a lot Louise, you really got my mind going. I will try to do my best.

I like all of your ideas, so I will start by writing a hub about taking naps on the job and then I will do the one about the fast food.

For the vegetarian I will write a loooooong (general) hub on why the vegan lifestyle choice is bad and why you should eat meat smile

Thanks again for the ideas and I hope that my hubs would be a joy for you to read.

    [:

Here is a topic to write about: the issue of being an unwanted child in this society.    Children who are unwanted by their parents tend to suffer physical, emotional, and psychological abuse from the latter.   Being an unwanted child causes undue stress in families on the part of both parents and children.     The second part to this scenario is the importance regarding reproductive freedom in terms of continual legalized abortion and access to contraceptive technologies.    It is also important that every child be planned and wanted.

Hey Ivan I have a belief that I think would easily be argued against. However, I request that in your hub you avoid the easy arguments as those ones are generally the weaker and less structured ones that can be taken down easily. Kudos if you can guess which game inspired this belief: "Altruism is a tool that builds wickedness."

I'm sorry to all for the little delay in my hubs; however things got really messed up with the other project I am working on ...

I am still doing the challenge and I am planning on catching up, starting with the first ( yeah part of a series ) article about the science of god (actually not a religious hub ) ...

    Thanks,
