This morning, I went online on Hubpages and wanted to add some additional content to one of my hubs that were already published, I was shocked though when I was greeted with the following warning message at the top when I entered the "Edit" mode:
"Note: This Hub is currently published. However, if you make any changes to it, it will immediately be unpublished until it has been re-approved for publication (which can take 24-48 hours)."
I have never seen anything like this before and am wondering if anyone else is seeing a similar message. Could it be that something funky is going on with my account that I should contact support with or is this a new policy of Hubpages? If it is, then it is highly unfortunate as, at least for me, leaves me little motivation to update and improve a published hub.
This does not happen to everyone, but it does happen to a fair number of site users. It is what you see if your account is under moderation.
I've only had this happen to me one time but the hub was back to it's published state within the hour.
The hub in question might be on a restricted topic? I have a hub like this. It's published and has been manually approved by a moderator, so anytime I want to edit it needs approval again. (I just leave it alone now so that it doesn't get unpublished!)
Hi xcan. It happens to everyone so no need to contact support. Sometimes hubs are approved much quicker than 24 hours sometimes not.
Hi again XCan. I just went to edit another hub after replying to your question and did not get this warning, so it doesn´t happen all the time. last weekend I spent a lot of time editing idled hubs and all those went to pending mode, maybe it has something to do with this .
Thank you all for the reply. It would appear that the message is shown for all of my hubs. One of my hubs is currently experiencing very high amount of traffic, and it would really feel boring to edit it and cause it to be unpublished.
Perhaps my account is under moderation after all for some reason. I guess I will contact support and see what the deal is.
I had a hub on page 1 and made a minor change. Now it is on page 2 and getting less traffic. I think it goes through QAP but wonder if it stays featured and available to the search engines.
Thanks brakel2! I hope too that the issue will be resolved soon. One of my hubs apparently caught fire, getting hundreds of visits every day. I wonder if that somehow triggered something automatically on Hubpages to prevent abuse. It is unfortunate though as I cannot update it or change it to make it more relevant. *Sigh*
I hope support will get back to me soon, but I guess it is weekend and they are taking some days off.

I just finished editing a Hub and signed out. Then I called up the Hub only to get this terrible message that puts a very bad light on Hubbers as possible violators of "The Code."What a poor image this gives the public. Being new to HB, my reaction is one of a public person who knows...
