How many hubs do you need to make $100 a month

   i have around 12 hubs and im making maybe 10 cents a day.Who here makes at least $100 a month and how many hubs do you have

      Earning $ 100 is do not depend upon the quantity of hubs, it is fully depend upon the quality of hubs.
      
      For an example you wrote something about current affairs with good key words which will bring more than 100k traffic a month in that case that single hub also can help you to Earn $100 in single month.
      So write maximum number quality hubs and calculate yourself with your own earnings because every individual has different style to earn money.

         I have also found that I can only improve the quality of my writing so much, therefore, for me, it's not about quantity of hubs, but quantity of visitors. I'm finding it takes me a little over 500 visitors a day to crack the $50/month threshold.
         
         Even that isn't a totally reliable indicator, because it really depends on whether you tend to write on topics where the ads on the sides closely match your visitors' tastes, enough that they're more likely to click.
         
         I call this the "Hermit Crab Cakes" effect. About ten years ago, I was active on a forum which was supported by Google ads in the sidebar. Someone opened a thread in which we could talk about our pets. After a member posted photos and a cute little reminiscence on her pet hermit crabs, all the ads in the sidebar changed to crab cakes restaurants and overnight frozen crab cake delivery services.
         
         If that had happened on a Hub about hermit crabs, it would've meant your search visitors recoiling in horror — or, at the least, I doubt your ads would've gotten many clicks!

            That's a great anecdote!  I need to check what ads are on my hubs.  I have a few about  HIV, one about a murder, and one about the Titanic. Should be interesting.

      If you have 80-100 good quality hubs that are at least 6 months old, you can earn $100+ every month. but quality depends.
      I have 47 hubs that are 1-4 months old and started getting $1.5-$2.2 a day, means approx $50 a month. So, it depends. Last month I had 35 hubs and earned $17.5 but at the start of this month, I added 12 hubs and my traffic improved and made $16 in last 11 days.
      You can have some idea, how much you needed but quality of your hubs matter.

      On the other hand, if one has very good quality hubs, they can earn more than those that has tons of hubs but are in low quality.

      I'd have to say it all depends on the type of hubs you have decided to write, how each one is montesied and who your target visitor is (what you want or expect them to do once they reach your hub and whether you are successful in achieving that or not).
      
      I have one hub that gets around 2 visits per day that earns me in the region of $100 - $160 per month.
      
      Another hub I have gets around 1000 visits per day and earns around $90 per month.
      
      Yet another small collection of hubs (about 5 or 6) get around 200 visits per day total and earn around $150 - $200 per month.
      
      So it really all depends.

   I make over $300 a month and I have over 300 Hubs, but the thing is, only a small handful of those actually earn a significant amount of money.
   
   If one is really focused on creating super high quality, original, well-crafted, and unique Hubs that people online are searching for, one would have to create far fewer Hubs before seeing significant success.
   
   The gist: it's about quality, not quantity.

         Probably - intense focus on creating ONLY top quality hubs will mean that fewer hubs are required to earn significant amounts.
         
         Throw in a bunch of mediocre hubs and you will need more hubs to earn the same amount.

         She said one CAN earn more with far fewer hubs IF those hubs are top quality and are on topics of interest to readers. 
         
         The idea that writing tons of hubs brings in more money simply is not the answer to higher earnings.  I can write all day long on topics that nobody wants to read and will earn nothing for my efforts.  But one article of great common interest can earn significant amounts.
         
         The trick is to find that one topic and be able to write well about it.  Not so easy to do!!

   With few quality hubs you can earn more than $ 100 considering if you add amazon capsule or Ebay capsule to your hubs. Considering that you have to promote your hubs so as to gain traffic.

   For me the best way to earn here on Hubpages is not on the quantity of hubs but on the quality. SEO also plays a big role so at least you have an idea about keyword and the importance of links in building traffic.

   The answer for most people is somewhere in between.  Neither a million terrible hubs, nor one superb hub, are going to meet that earnings goal over the long term.  It will have to be really quite a lot (probably 100s) or really rather good hubs.

   When looking at previous replies, you also need to take into account the thread is 2 years old. I am earning 10% of what I earned 2 years ago, which is why I am not bothering to add any more hubs nor update the ones I have. When a hub gets unfeatured, I put it on my own sites. One ex-hub now earns me 10-15 times as much from Adsense as I get for the 20 remaining ones here in HubAds + Adsense earnings. It also gets Amazon sales, which I do not get here at all.

      I was going to post on this thread earlier and ask if things have changed over the past two years for the Hubbers who commented so positively before. I do hope that some are clearing $100 a month yet or more but times have been a changing for many (from what I have read in the forums).

         The forums represent only a small number of  people who write here.  Many who earn that amount and more simply do not share this information for fear of people copying their hubs.  It is very clear to me that a fair number who have been here for awhile and have learned what they need to know to produce are indeed earning.
         
         However, I doubt they are earning like they once did or that they are earning those amounts every single month.
         
         HP has never been meant to be a means of earning a living.  Those who think it is will mostly be disappointed.

            Those that earned that amount and more used to share it.  In fact there was a page on the website with their profiles.  It was taken down mainly because in the current climate they no longer earn as much.  The numbers earning that amount would once have been in the hundreds and now would be a very small number.
