As far as I know, there are two types of Satanism. one is called Theistic satanism which members praise and believe in a god or in a supreme being named Satan and the other is called non-theistic Satanism which was founded by Anton LaVey. the latter does not believe in or praise a supreme being rather themselves; they believe that Satan is not an entity like GOD but a force coming from people and LaVey also wrote the Satanic Bible, a compilation of philosophy and essays.

But I'm not sure if I said it all right. If you want to add or correct anything, i will be so glad because I want to be enlightened. But, my question is "Why is Satanism feared by most of us?" "Is it for those who are bad or for those who are open-minded and intelligent?" what do you, guys, think?

I do not fear Satanism. I mean they have no record of doing anything violent so far. Have they done suicide bombings? Have they rallied themselves to prevent the passing of bills like divorce and same sex marriage? If they haven't then there's no historical basis why people should fear that religion. What I feared the most is Christianity. If you read the Old Testament you would want God to be a myth.

        Welcome to Hubpages Starneri.

        Why do you fear Christianity?

Do you fear that it might be correct and you do not want to find yourself accountable to the God of the Bible?

Do you actually fear Christians may do something to you?

If neither of those apply, could you please expound on why you fear Christianity?

Muslims and Christian extremists are freaking terrifying and turn me off to the entire concept of organized religion.
Having said that, I hope to gain enough followers here on Hubpages to start my own, even scarier religion, McGuirism. So please, read my hubs; enjoy them, and join me on the path of true enlightenment, my children.
    Hubbabubbadingdong be with you,
    Andy
