   And to cap it off, he says he quitting cos of the censorship and hypocrisy on Hubpages. What happens to all his fans...I wanna hear y'all speak of this.

      Could be a good chance for you to get a big net and scoop some of them up.

      True, golden toad was my first friend on hubpages, he was around for the first week of me being here then he disappeared. I Will miss the scruffy get, and mainly his wit and banter. very funny intelligent man and I will miss him.

   I do not understand all of this conversation, but I have already begged GT not to quit.  I love his writing, and if he is raiderfan, that explains a lot!  Whether he is or not, golden is one of the most powerful writers I have encountered.  I feel he does not really know how wonderful he is.  All I can say is, if he is leaving, will he leave us a link to follow him? 
   
   Please, golden?  LOL!  You know I will go into withdrawal!

   I don't think quitting entirely is really necessary, but of course it's a personal choice.  I understand people sometimes label HubPages rules as censorship, but that's really not their intended goal.  The rules are in place to protect the community and AdSense earnings--both ours and yours.

    I did not get the honors of reading your article so I cannot comment but the hub that I found is interesting.

       The same subject, approached differently, might not have been moderated.  The hub you link to above does not contain graphic sexual descriptions.  The hub that was moderated contained lewd descriptions of sexual acts.

          Many of the greatest works of literature have been banned.  Whereas raider fan was not the most literary of his writing, it was in reaction to serious double standards. (just look at some of the offensive pictures and titles of some of the trash that make up your numbers) However, with GT, you have gotten closer to true literature then you probably will again. 
          So with all due respect, the internet should be a free place to exchange ideas, even more so in the US of A. 
          However if you do not want to look at it that way, think in terms of your numbers.  You like that don't you?  How many of the people here joined because of GT?  How many stay because of GT?  In the ripple effect, how will your numbers play out? 
          Where will you draw the line?

       I'm sorry to hear you're going Goldentoad.  Bear in mind that you're going to have the same problem on any site that uses Adsense - because it's Google that sets the rules, not HubPages. 
       
       HubPages simply can't afford to risk allowing any Hubs that contravene the Adsense terms of service, or we could all lose our income. While I'm sorry it has affected you as an individual, I'm sure there are few Hubbers - even your fans - who would genuinely be willing to forfeit all their Adsense earnings, now and in the future, in order to allow you to follow your principles.
       
       I wish you good luck in finding a site that can accommodate your articles.

       GT, I understand where you're coming from. But, really, you might have the same problem on other Internet sites. Unless, of course, you want to just go porno.
       
       I also hate to see you go. Maybe a little compromise in this instance might be a good thing. Compromise for the sake of your writing. You get a lot of feed back here, and that may just be a good thing for you as a writer.

          golden, do not ever compromise what you write!  You are real and vibrant...the world needs more of this!!!  You, without compromise, are very good for all of us!  With compromise, you would lose.  Love ya man!  I will always hope for a way for you to stay...but compromise is not that way. 
          
          Just know you have a lot of supporters here, a lot of people who love to read you...however that would be true no matter where you go.  You are the real deal!

       GT, quitting is not a solution. How can you do this to thousands of readers on HP who love you and the way you write. I understand that hypersensitive people, at times, find it comfortable to quit rather than staying put but that (trust me) doesn't help. Don't be so rigid. If you need to make some changes (about which I'm not aware) in your style of writing, it won't cause you any harm if you do so, as HP is definitely not a personal diary---it is a public forum so why not show some flexibility and keep enjoying the loving relationships you have earned here. :)Please don't go.

    Toad....you stuff is the most creative I have seen in years. I sat here and laughed through many and others that you wrote had a connection to the soul.  You are a great creative writer.
    A lot of my stuff is on the edge and may get axed when the right prude comes along to flag it.
    When creativity vs opinion....opinion should never rule...ever!

    It's up to him.  If he feels strongly about it and sees a reason, OK...  I do see some inconsistency in the policies--probably it is personal to him because it is effecting him.  But then again, it's a business and it is their choice to enact those policies.

    GT, if you can find a way to blog from or with or a fourm like the Talk Sex With Sue, you might have a chance to do your blogs or articles that way.  That was the only thing that I could come up with.  IOne other thing for others and Maddie to consider---beauty is the in the eye of the beholder.  Sex is taboo and why --because religion has put it there.  Just my two cents and I am out of here!  Good luck where ever you go GT and I did appreciate the back up you gave me earler when I first joined HP.  I will miss you here.
