I've just started using the ebay capsule. I've noticed that the icon on the capsule saying `Right Now on Ebay' leaves a lot of white space around it. Could we have a less conspicious ebay icon for the capsules? Something wide and panoramic rather than square with a load of white space next to it?
Also, I've noticed that when I put an ebay capsule in a hub with quite a lot of items (~5), it very often produces duplicate items. For example. the ebay search term "soccer" would give me 5 ads for the same pair of Nike soccer boots. This would probably be seen as spamming by Google. I don't think there is any way around this other than to change to a better search term, or use multiple ebay capsules with different search terms. Of course, with 2 ebay capsules, I now have 2 of those big ugly ebay icons in very close proximity. Perhaps there could be a way to opt out of displaying the ebay icon on an ebay capsule if you choose to? This way we could put a group of ebay capsules together which all use different search terms, and avoid the clunky icons below each one.
Hi Thomas. Thanks for the suggestion.
I don't think we can remove duplicates in the Ebay capsules because frequently people want duplicates since their bid prices may vary. Could you describe a bit more for me the situation where you're trying to avoid duplicates? Maybe post a link to you Hub and I'll take a look.
Also since the purpose of the Ebay capsule is to sell things, I'd be concerned that removing the Ebay logo would adversely effect purchase conversion rate. If it doesn't stick out and somehow say that this thing can be purchased then people won't purchase it. Granted, we could probably improve on that capsule but I'm not sure making it less prominent is the direction I'd go.
Apologies for not replying sooner, I must have missed the notification.
There is currently an example on my latest hub: http://thomasswan.hubpages.com/hub/Top- … f-All-Time
At the bottom of this hub, there is an ebay capsule with 2 products in it. Currently, both of those 2 products are exactly the same. Same pic, description and price. I produced this capsule by using the search term "soccer".
I don't think it's helpful to the readers to have the same product twice, it looks spammy, and I'm sure if google crawls the page they would think it's spammy too. Anything you can do to help would be welcome. Cheers!
Also, perhaps a panoramic ebay logo would be better (wider and shorter). The square one has a load of white space next to it, and takes up quite a lot of space on the page.
Notice also that I have used two ebay capsules in the hub to avoid too many duplicate items. Unfortunately this produces two of those big ugly ebay icons ("Right now on ebay!"). If we could opt out of displaying the ebay icon on some capsules, I could use lots of ebay capsules and only have to display the ebay icon once.

Authoring Hubs is about sharing and spreading ideas. Most of what we do is word-based, and a capsule to show off related Zazzle stuff would be an eye-catching way to allow readers interested in those ideas to buy products which celebrate them, such as relevant designs, graphics, statements,...

I have had a hub on this site for several years that only contained TWO eBay capsules. Today, they were "snipped." What is the point of partnering with eBay if HP is going to interfere with that? Now, I understand that too many "spammy elements" as they call...

I've had yet another eBay capsule snipped from a piece I published two days ago. This article is on dogwood trees, and the eBay product was about dogwood trees/seeds and planting of this tree species -- which is something directly related to the hub itself. So, now I think it is...
