    What's a resource box?

Basically, you add a few sentences at the end of your article telling the reader what a wonderful author you are. big_smile

I had to look that up. Turns out I've been doing that on occasion and didn't even know it.

Doing that on 150 hubs without duplicating text... seems like something I wouldn't bother doing smile

In the long term it might trip the 'overly promotional' issue--especially if it has links.

Resource boxes are very important especially if you're marketing on article directory sites. Normally, these article directory sites, won't allow you to post links on the actual body of your article and you are only given the resource box to add links to (just like how ezinearticles work).

For most people, the resource box is "Basically, you add a few sentences at the end of your article telling the reader what a wonderful author you are. ". But that's not how it's used nowadays.

There's a strong debate online about whether or not you should even talk about yourself on your resource box (since they can find out about you on your profile) or make it sound somewhat like a call to action instead to bring the readers to your site.

For me... I'd go with making it sound like a call to action since people don't really care about the author (that much smile), they just want their problems solved.

I do something relatively similar, at the end of my articles I have four things on most of my hubs:

      - A little photo block with a teeny bit of information about me
      - Several links (normally three or four) to other articles that I've written on a similar topic to the article the person has just read
      - A link for people to subscribe to my hubs via RSS
      - A 'sign up to HP' link

It seems to work pretty well as none of them are 'sales' related and the formatting of each is different, so it's not a wall of text. My hubs do also rather tend to the long side (1,500 words plus), so I almost certainly would not include as much info on a very short hub.
