I know it's a Saturday, but can any Admins chime in as to whether there's more of a delay in getting things through the QAP?  I have two hubs that should have been approved by now, and the arrows are still spinning.

Yes, they should pass muster - they're much better than the three or more hubs I flagged a day or two ago in the Hopper that had fewer than 400 words each (one had about 179 words, start to finish).

There's quite a queue. It's coming down slowly but surely.

Edit: I'm not an administrator, but I'm rating today and I see the queue numbers smile

    Dear Ms Goodfleisch
Thank you for your recent enquiry.
Please rest assured that your Hubs will be "featured" as soon as possible. I'm sure you understand that it is a busy and difficult job to process the large number of Hubs that come our way, but we do our best under trying circumstances.
    There do appear however to be one or two issues with your Hubs. For your future reference please note that it would help us process your work more efficiently if you could abide by the following criteria;
    1. Please include at least one Indian "Auntie" picture per Hub. To tell the truth a good half dozen guarantees featured status within the hour but one will do at a push (if you can't find any then a picture of a man in a white hat and a pair of frilly knickers will normally suffice).
    2. Length. Your Hubs are far too long and use far too many complicated words. Shortening them would help us tremendously as we have less to read, which lets us process your work more quickly.
    3. Grammar. Your grammar would appear to be excellent, which quite frankly is completely useless to us as it therefore means that most of our raters can't understand what you are writing about. Would you mind awfully slipping in a few "grammos" so that they can at least make a stab at guessing what you are wittering on about?
Assuring you of our best attention at all times
    Yours sincerely
    Admin
    The HubPages MTurkers QAP Team.
P.S. I note that you are currently writing Hubs on time sensitive subjects such as Sinkholes and the Papal Election. We will of course make every effort to publish your Hubs while these stories remain "hot" topics. So will two weeks next Friday be OK?

Well golly be Jebus Horatio I sure am glad you showed up.  Maybe y'all can helps me with a question.

A wile ago I used to go a visiting this big place with lots of buildings.  All the cute guys hung out there.

Well anyways the other day i was gone to check my mails.  It waz bout time for my monthly scription to Hot Indian Aunties Weekly to come in... Well glory be if that big ole place with all them big buildings dindt send me a letter. Itz got all this fancy pantzy writing all over it and a big ole sticker like the one on my parole papers. But I'll be cornswaggled if I can figure it out.

First they saiz something bout a Bachelor... which I dont get AT ALL.  I'm a girl and I been happily married to the old man for a coons age.  Then it says something bout arts which is real funny since I cant draw a straight line with a ruler...ya know?  It's got the word English on it.  At first I thought it was like them machines that give out cash and if I pressed it maybe I could understand the hole thing better... ya know since with all that fancy scribling it looked a bit like a frenchie wrote it.  But when I pushed on the word don'tcha know I put my finger clean through the page.

it says it gives me rights and privilidges... you think it might have something to do with the NRA?

Anywayz if you can help me figure out what it means I'd be might apprecitive

Until then i'm gonna be sitting at the tv that pa attached a typewriter to sliding these bar things on all these peoples blog things.  Didya know Amazon pays me five whole cents for every one I do?  By the end of the week I'll have enough to buy some beer down at the quiky mart

        Dear Melissa
I've had a quick word with the powers that be and we've decided to double your pay to 10 cents per Hub purely on the basis that anybody who can shoehorn the word "cornswaggled" in to a forum post is ok in my book.
