Should Scott Prouty be recognized as a hero of the year of 2012?

   Scott Prouty was the waiter at the Romney $50k/head fundraiser who videotaped Romney's 47% comment that may have changed the result of the election. He debated with himself for 2 weeks before deciding to take careful steps to release the tape for maximum effect.

      I just watched the interview.
      Definitely my hero!!
      
      Was surprised that he's an Independent who did not go in with a "gotcha" intention, but rather to listen to
      Romney's ideas with an eye toward voting for him.
      Prouty could have cashed in long ago.
      He didn't.
      And he's only coming forward now because Romney's coming back on the scene @ CPAC.

      LOLOL it sure doesn't take much to make you admire someone, does it?
      
      Eh....now, if someone had had the skill and wisdom to secretly videotape Obama and his cronies during their closed-door conspiracy that birthed the "Healthcare Bill",  THAT would've been something to admire!   Funny thing---no one has come up with that disclosure.   Why?   Because..........eh......they LOCKED THE DOOR so the Republicans couldn't even participate.
      
      I'd say Romney's pretty heroic himself for not being as sneaky and paranoid as Obama/Pelosi/Reid etc.

         Before Sarah Palin said "death panels" the majority of Americans actually supported the bill.
         
         It's been proven that "death panels" don't exist.
         
         I'm pretty sure that Romney won't be able to take his words back so easily.

         Best way to get the full picture is to watch the interview. But there are reads here
         also.
         
         Ironically, it wasn't even the 47% comment that captured Prouty's attention.
         It was the China factory visit.
         
         For the millions of Americans who were asking "Who is Mitt Romney REALLY?"
         Prouty's visit stripped away the fancy wrapping paper.

                     Only got that statistic from the radio.  The new was all the hype last year that 49 % of the people don't pay taxes.

                        First of all, according to the Tax Policy Center, more than 60% of those non-income tax paying households did pay federal payroll taxes—meaning Social Security and Medicare taxes.  (Considering all Americans households, including those that owed income tax, 62% paid more in payroll taxes than in federal income taxes.)
                        
                        By the way I NEVER hear it mentioned that Medicare only pays 80% and receipants are responsible for the 20%.

                  Below is what Romney actually said.
                  To me, the last sentence is the kicker.
                  That anyone who does not pay income taxes can never be convinced to take personal responsibility and care for their lives.
                  The irony, of course, is that he got 47 percent of the vote!
                  
                  
                  "There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what.... These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn't connect. So he'll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. I mean, that's what they sell every four years. And so my job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

            He is not the one who brought it to the media. Jimmy Carter's grandson did.
            But he had to leave his job.
            He did not get paid for interview on The Ed Show yesterday.
            If he writes a book or otherwise capitalizes on this after the fact, he'll be able to pursue his dream of going to law school.
            Isn't that the American Dream in action?
