"Hey man. Your folk never used all this sheit [sic] to protect my folk from your slave-holding, murdering, adulterous, baby-raping, incestuous, snaggle-toothed, backward-a**ed, inbreed [sic], imported criminal-minded kin folk."
Class-act right there.
This deserves a picture of that dude so ya know what his ilk looks like..
I am not sure most people will understand what I am about to try and express but here goes anyway, what he said was stupid and racist, but it happens amongst minorities and I don't think it's something most people in majority groups can understand, when one feels an affinity with their ancestors and the terrible injustice they suffered sometimes it boils over into irrational lashing out, I can certainly understand why the descendants of slaves might have a pretty low opinion of those who kept them as such (a low opinion i share).
Yeah, "what he said was stupid and racist" is the only thing you just said that has anything to do with the appropriateness of what he said and where he said it or the need for any "understanding" of it. "Stupid and racist" comments demand no understanding except to understand that the person saying it is stupid and racist and has nothing to do with minority vrs majority. Most racisist comments are expressed by members of a majority, not a minority. Descendants of slaves have no right to project their hatreds onto descendants of people who were never slave owners (most of whom were probably against slavery) and that is what he did - that is what is stupid and racist but your liberal thought process demands you try to make somthing into something it is not forcing you to state the truth and then try to disagree with your own statement by equivocating to rationalize bad behavior because you actually agree with what was said "(a low opinion i share)". You are as sick as Rep. Mitchell
As I said, you won't understand, how could you? It's not something you would or could ever experience.
No, tsadjatko is right. Regardless of any affinity with your ancestors, regardless of your hatred of their "owners", regardless of any feelings you might have or what race you are, there is never a reason to allow those feelings to boil over and take out your own racist attitudes on anyone around you.
Keep your own personal racism, whatever the reasons for it, bottled up inside you and do not let it project onto anyone else. Not your children, not your neighbors and not a stranger from an email. There is never an excuse for that behavior and to say that your ancestor's pain caused you to behave just as those you hate did, well, that's just plain stupid. And racist.
Interesting, funny I do not hear Christians talk about being persecuted when being fed to the lions. They do not seem angry about it.

You have a low opinion of those who owned slaves, or the decendents of those who owned slaves?
I'm sure he speaks for his constituents.
As un-classy as his message is, can anyone actually stand up and say he's wrong?
Sure can! 330,000 WHITE Union soldiers died in the civil war, so many WHITE men used weapons for his ancestors!

I'm just curious if anyone has ever fallen head over heels in love with someone after only knowing them for a short time. I was camping at a gay campground over the past week, and I met a very handsome man, who I felt an immediate attraction to. You could almost say it was love at first sight....
