    Greetings and salutations, Hubbers!

If you haven’t heard yet, the Weekly Topic Inspiration program is getting a major overhaul! For the full scoop, check out the Blog post, Changes to the Weekly Topic Inspiration Program.

Here’s the gist. We found that the current WTI program wasn’t meeting Hubbers’ needs in the ways we intended. We’ve made some changes in order to:

    -engage more people
-make the process for submitting Hubs less complicated
-offer more options for Hubbers who don’t like a particular week’s theme
-make it easier for Hubbers to organize Hub Challenges on a particular theme
-reach more users in the community

From now on, just visit the Rising Star Nominees and Promising Topics Forum post every Friday to check out the three latest and greatest promising Topics (the new post is already up). To write a Hub on one of the Topics (or start a Hub Challenge) simply post directly to the Forum thread. I’ll see you there!

Many people writing on one topic is more like spamming than being creative.  Your articles may be unique word-wise, but there is only so much research that can be had on a particular topic.  You can use the inspiration topic to inspire you toward another topic, but writing specifically on THAT topic many times is a little BORING...don't you think?

Hubbers have lots of different and valuable things to say about a single Topic because we've got lots of diverse perspectives. Many Hubbers also have unique experience and expertise. Participation in the WTI isn't mandatory. It's just an option for Hubbers who like the community experience, inspiration, and motivation.

Okay...as long as it's a unique perspective or approach, I'll go along with that...just not hubs using already existent research only with different words.

We always encourage Hubbers to write from their unique experience-- regurgitated information available anywhere online rarely ranks well in search results. Truly original content has a much better chance of succeeding with search engines, so when Hubbers write from experience and personal knowledge, everybody wins. smile

Creativity is the name of the game!  Show a painter a blank canvas and he'll paint on it, show someone else a blank canvas and he'll draw on it....that's what happens with the titles and ideas you throw out, everyone has their own perspective and will write differently even if its about the same thing.

I think you personally should review your choice of words...REGURGITATION?  Did you mean THROW UP?  Be careful of your language on a public site.  This is rather distasteful.

Regurgitate is a perfectly acceptable word to use in this context and does not exclusively apply to food that has been eaten and spit back up.

Need to check out how this new system will work. Wish things wouldn't keep changing. Miss the HubMob and WTI already!

I miss HubMob. It had a nice community feel to it. Being given a list of restricted topics by a staff member is just not the same.

This one must've been before my time (two years).

HubMob?  What, are you searching for a MAKE BELIEVE MAFIA, too?!  Somethings I just cannot understand.  Make believe is powerful...but it will NEVER be real.  Time to face reality...

Sorry, not interested in history of make believe.  I prefer His Story of the Real Thing.  But I must say, "You've come a long way, baby!"  Best of Luck in your future endeavors.

Happiness and tolerance....just saying.  To each his own on HP as anywhere else.  To follow or not to follow, that is your decision.
