Inspired by another thread. State your nimrods here. And, yes. You can name names.

Politicians, of course. But all others as well.

    My contribution...

    Nancy freaking Pelosi.

      ROFLMAO!!!!!

      Good one!

Did you know that the name 'Nimrod' comes from the name of a great warrior during biblical times.  Wierd huh

In my opinion, Pelosi is an absolute, screaming space cadet and even much worse. http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/autho … elosi.html Convince me otherwise, and I will actually be happy. Seriously, I am scared.

Theory of Persuasion has proven that once someone is far to one side of an issue, it is a waste of time to try and persuade them to change.  Rep. Pelosi is a class act with some very good thinking skills.   I would tell young ladies to aspire to her standards.
So what would be the point of any further discourse?  I have no need of a disagreement.

What are you even talking about?

The vast majority of those quotes either:
          A) have little to no context (making them hard to evaluate properly)
or B) consist of standard political fluff (mostly pretty mild fluff at that)

Other than the one near the top (500 million jobs) which is obviously a misstatement, which of these quotes do you find so objectionable? Yes, some involve partisan posturing, some are rhetorical junk and some seem to contradict each (again, given a severe lack of context) -- but I defy you to pick a prominent politician who isn't guilty of all the same.

If this is the where the bar is set for "screaming space cadet" then we all might as well give up now.

Nimrod, in the Bible was a mighty hunter and great grandson of Noah. Our neighbor's orange cat is also named Nimrod, and he hunts gophers.

I'm so tired of all the political crap invading HubPages forums! If you must, can't we at least leave it in the Political posts?! I very specifically come to only Tutorials and Community because I dislike all the politics and religion stuff in the forums. I am, by far, not the only person here who feels that way.

You are right. I feel the same way about the religion posts. Sorry about that. I'll be good and it won't happen again.

Speaking of space cadets and nimrods, Michele Bachmann is by far the leader in the clubhouse.

He is a right-wing conspiracy theorist (and Elvis impersonator) who believes that the government is involved in black market body-parts.
