Petitions not elections, frankly the petition system is pretty dumb but regardless it's not an issue that any conservative policy could fix, voter ID for example would not have helped.

How about this Josak? Would voter ID fix this?

        and

Yes, same story but I know you would just "dismiss" the Fox story as a lie. smile

Probably not, a simple voter record would have fixed that one if people were simply recorded as having voted as absentees so they could not vote again possibly by mistake in person.

Not that it's relevant to the actual thread btw.

            lol
If it's not relevant than why did you bring up voter ID?  Was only responding to your reply.

She is not the only one and your little "voter list" doesn't work unless they have to prove they are who they say they are. smile

I was pointing out that it would not have prevented what happened in the OP and thus it's really not a partisan issue.

              So your example was irrelevant.

Your right Josak, ID to prove who you are does nothing. So lets stop being IDed when we buy homes, rent cars, jet ski, boats, apartments, apply for loans, and so much more.

As for petitions, lets be real. If Obama was not qualified for hat state or others, he would not even have been on the ballot and would not be President right now. So as you can see, it is important.

          SOOOOO wrong

The polling was used to get both Clinton and Obama onto the list, no other Democratic candidate ran, neither would have received the win there and Obama would have gone on to win the Primary and be President. As it was Clinton won Indiana actually making it LESS likely that Obama would be president.

So yes if it had never occurred nothing would have changed in terms of who is president.

            Josak

The polling was used to get both Clinton and Obama onto the list

The list in question is not polling. It is a petition of names, REGISTERED VOTERS, who sign their name to get their candidate on the ballot. Because the signatures were fake and fraudulent, they would have been declined bringing Obama under the required number of signatures leaving Obama off the ballot. If he is not on the ballot, he does not get votes and he would not be President.

Primary ballot. Does not decide the President, Clinton won there anyway. What don't you understand?
This event could not possibly in any way make it more likely for Obama to be president, he actually lost there. It made it LESS LIKELY that he would be president.

                Josak,

It is you that does not understand. We all know the primaries do not elect the president on their own, they are the GATEWAY to decide who can run for president. If you are not on the primary ballot because you cannot get enough signatures, you CANNOT RUN FOR PRESIDENT.No votes means you lose the primaries and do not move on as presidential candidate, you are not on the ballot for election day and you are not elected president.

Why am I not surprised the resident liberal here is quick to regurgitate the Hillary mantra "What Difference at This Point Does It Make?" - Just like it does make a difference how 4 people died under her pervue it does make a difference that these criminals are brought to justice. It makes it less likely to happen again if they know they WILL be caught.

A few years ago, I took my concerns about the Federal liberal agenda to a local GOP leader, warning him that the foolishness and manipulations may filter down from Federal to State  (I had already seen another County group being infiltrated by RINO's when I had changed residence for several years, and had watched the Democrat Party followers become more aggressive and bullying even in small towns).   He said that in Indiana I was preachin' to the choir,  meaning Indiana is predominantly conservative, so don't worry.
But apparently the choir's being silent or being silenced these days.   The Democrats (and not just Democrats, but far Left activists) have (by hook or by crook) gained a foothold even here,  ever since so many people got hypnotized by the Obama machinations.
I think I'm gonna pay more attention next time to who's running the Election booth even here in our little town.................

As much as I hate to resort to "I know you are but what am I?" logic, the harsh
reality here is that fraud occurs at all stages of the political process. And it is
    hardly limited to one party.
I guess the news here is these guys got caught and punished.
    Good.
Can it really be that much of a challenge to find 500 legitimately registered Democrats in the state of Indiana to sign your petition for your candidate. roll

Meanwhile, the Maine GOP caucus was not beyond fraud.

And who can forget this fresh-faced, earnest voter registration worker from 2012?
    Can we say "poster child?"

lol the 2nd one is not fraud at all. That is someone with a preference for a candidate registering voters for their particular party.

The first, really? Because they called the winner with 84% of votes counted and a narrow margin? Do I then get to call the National election of 2012 fraud because they called an awful lot of states for Obama with a narrow margin with only 20% or less of the votes in.

Those are speculation and innuendo. Propaganda at its best. The OP's example is an actual conviction, you know, where actual evidence was presented in a court of law and were found guilty.

I didn't say anything about voter fraud. I simply said fraud.

          And it was fraud.

Election fraud is election fraud no matter how you spin it. There are many levels constituting election fraud.
