Since the past week whenever I open a Hub..the page gets redirected to this annoying banner ad which comes in the top left hand corner of the screen..
At first I thought maybe it was a problem with my mouse since the click button gives a problem by double clicking automatically..
So I changed the mouse, copy pasted the url of the Hub into the browser and kept the mouse pointer totally off the browser..
And well it happened again, before the entire hub could load it got redirected to this ad:
http://dbs.ozonemedia.com/banner/GetBan … ategyId=46
I'm trying to get approved for an adsense account and Google's gonna catch me for invalid clicks..
And I can't read other hubs or check out my own..
Hey palva25!
It sounds like this was not a HubPages ad after all, but if you ever discover a pop up ad on the site, or any other ad that does not meet our guidelines, please report it here: http://hubpages.com/help-answer/affilia … m-with-ad/
honestly it sounds like you need to adjust your internet tools for your pop-up blocker. it is just from visiting some site that now allows these.
I could be wrong but I would try deleting your cookies first, running a scan then changing your pop-up blocker setting to higher or none unless you approve the site since some sites you do need them.
It's not a popup..Just redirects to the banner page..
Will try deleting the cookies..thanks
If you THINK Google is going to catch you for INVALID CLICKS...they probably already did. Think about it. They are hip to all the tricks and start monitoring as soon as a red line is reached. By the time you think about it, they have probably already judged. Best of luck anyway.
I don't have an adsense account yet, so will it create a problem in getting one?
If you ALREADY have been pegged with INVALID CLICKS...think about it...maybe Google was TESTING YOU because they are PARTNERED with HubPages and it gives them a chance to PRE-SCREEN.
I did'nt click on the ads...it used to get redirected automatically when i opened a hub..
Anyways, deleting the cookies solved the problem...
So i'll just wait for a while and hopefully I'll get through to adsense..
Positivity has always worked in my favor..no use in worrying about something I'm not a 100% sure about...
I'm sure you have done nothing wrong. This happens at times. I have had it happen to me. I also don't click extra ads here or anyplace else.
I had this problem a while back but not on Hubpages. I was looking for cell phone cases, and I was redirected to porn.
I also had these annoying ads pop-up and cover pages. It is malware use free Malwarebytes my problem was gone.

Is there a way to get rid of unwanted traffic sites that attach a link to our hubs without our knowledge? I try to individually monitor my hubs for suspicious traffic and have written two letters to the offender who has sent me 8 visits on one hub this week. Now HubPages has marked my hub with a...

While browsing HubPages the past few days, I have been re-directed several times to an official looking page asking me to download an "Urgent Firefox Update." https://eudorbollywoodkhabri.net/718116 … a7f2b.htmlIt has only happened to me while on HP, and since the address of the...

I understand it difficult times but what good will deleting hubs do? I see some of the most prolific hubbers deleting heaps of hubs. Have we lost the hope of a hubpages bounce back?

Today I have had two adds show up on my screen, without having been clicked. This has never happened on Hubpages, to me.The first one zoomed onto the screen from the left side, as I was about half way through reading the hub. The second time, I had scrolled down to see a reply...

<link snipped>While enjoying my tribute to ImKarn23, I've been dealing with a somewhat awkward sitituation. Someone who calls herself Diva43, left a hateful and horrible comment on my Hub about Imkarn23. This is a purely personal issue but after the many comments left afterwards, I decided to...
