After living through Watergate. My political science professor had been a U.S. representative; we examined that subject.
My view of the difference between Benghazi and Watergate cover-ups four dead Americans.
The Watergate cover-up resulted with the president embarrassed and four men went to jail for breaking and entering etc.
The Benghazi cover-up resulted in the embarrassment of the democratically elected head Libya,
and four dead people... Don't forget that.
and America got blamed for the four dead Americans.
Not our Officials like Hillary and Obama, etc.
It got blamed on a video made by someone, resulting in the idea that Americans should never speak against Islam, never incite their anger, because our top Officials are gonna make Christians take the blame for it.
It was the same kinda thing when our soldier were ordered to burn Bibles. Never Korans! Oh no, never those. But the Christian Bible? Yep, that was okay to burn them.
It's all a load of hogwash that started when Obama began going around the world apologizing for America as a whole. What he should've been doing was apologizing TO America for ever sticking his nose into our Government.
Like the government was just FINE before Obama... Yeah... right.
It IS America's fault we're in this mess. The recession started with us, and we put those bozo's in the driver's seat. There is no one else to blame. No one else had the power to stop it but us poor American citizens.
And Obama SHOULD be apologizing to the world for America. We've been pretty shitty to the world with our pushy attitude. I'd like it more if I thought he was sincere and was going to put a stop to all the crap we've been handing out to the world, but he's not. He's using it to improve HIS image, not America's. He's doing it so world leaders will be more inclined to back him when he pulls another stupid move.
But make no mistake, the crap we're going through right now because of the Obama administration didn't start with him, or his administration, or with his party. It started AT LEAST as far back as 1930, and both parties are to blame. Obama's only continuing the cycle.
However, when you get right down to it, that brings the buck back to us. We let them take office and we buy into either their crap, or the crap the opposite party is peddling so we'll elect them instead. We fall for it.... every single time. Everyone who votes Republican or Democrat (and that's about 85% of the population at last count) is part of the problem. They are giving these idiots a mandate to drag us through the mud and ensure that another generation of people all over the world either hates us or laughs at us.
No, the problem is corruption in the people we elect and who get appointed by those elected Officials.
And another political Party isn't the answer.
WE elect THEM. Who said anything about another political party? Get rid of all of them. They don't do anything except confuse things. Are you voting for a party or are you voting for a candidate? Do away with primaries and have non-profits get the job of telling the public about the candidates. Tell the candidates themselves to sit on their hands and keep their mouths shut for the duration.
Congress doesn't corrupt politicians. It's so far gone now, it only attracts corrupt people. Who was on the ballot the last time... from ANY party, that was worth spit?
Actually, when I vote, I'm voting for a set of principles. Sometimes, yes, the Candidate doesn't adhere to those principles. So....in a sense, yes I supposed I'm voting for a Party. I just think there should be a way to make an elected Official adhere to Party lines, or else have him or her recalled/fired. And there should be an actual vetting process of each Candidate before that person can be nominated, not after they're nominated.
Let the nonprofits educate the public about the candidates?
You mean like the "social welfare" organizations that applied in droves for 501(c)(4)
tax-exempt status after Citizens United? Ha ha ha ha.
In theory I agree with your idea.
But what are the chances of overturning CU and getting the dark money out of political
campaigns?
They serve a useful purpose for the candidates -- on both sides -- who want their
opponents annihilated but don't want their names associated with such "education."
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

What happened in the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya on Sept 11 remains to be truthfully explained, by those ( Omaba's White House, Hilary's State Department, Paneta's Defense Department, and Petreus' CIA) who should know (1) what led to the terrorist attack that...

Is Benghazigate/IRSgate/APCIAgate equal to, worse than, or not as damaging to Obama's presidency than previous presidential scandals? A nice little history lesson here. And a very good summation on why these investigations are so all-consuming, but not to most Americans. Enjoy! Comment if you feel...

When Romney caught Obama regarding "a terrorist act in Benghazi" and then pointed out the White House didn't make that known for 2 weeks.Tomorrows headlines will be buzzing.

Can you tell the difference between a real cowboy and a wanna be cowboy? If so tell me how.Is it when their boots cost more than their trucks or what's under them boots that counts? Could it be in the way they walk from all the horse riding or the way they shape their hat? What do you think?
