Why my hub is not featured?

   It's just out my my comprehension. I hub which took me more than 3 hours to build and publish is not featured. Here the link of the non-featured hub I am talking about.

   Now, can anyone please explain to me what I have done wrong in this hub?

      Before hubs are featured, they must undergo a quality assessment process which often takes up to 48 hours.  During this time, your hub will be in the pending period.  If it is determined that your hub passed, it will then be featured.

         But, the my hub is not in pending status anymore. This is the reason of my concern. Thee is a sign which indicates that the hub is in pending status. It was there earlier, but now it's disappeared.

      Wowtgp, the hub is more than 900 words long, so I think the length is not the problem. Could it be because the topic is considered promotional? I know those blogs most likely do not belong to you but then it's still promotional in that it is promoting certain blogs. Or could it be because you don't have much graphics? Try adding screenshots of those blogs and see if it makes a difference.
      
      I'm just shooting in the dark, LOL.

   There are a lot of spelling and grammatical errors to start with. The text is repetitive and the information isn't new. Your hub doesn't really offer anything new to readers, the topic of your hub has been covered endlessly.

   Hi WowTGP,
   
   I liked your hub. It came at just the right time for me, as I'm beginning to blog and don't know my way around.
   
   But, to be featured, a hub is more than just a short written article. At least two images and other features, as well, are recommended, and often required.
   
   I recommend that you use the new Hub Hopper and read the rating system in it, and also check out http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/Elem … tellar-Hub and the entire Learning Center (found at the upper left HELP button).
   
   It's getting harder and harder to create quality that will be featured and, even more, make the grade in Google's SEO. But if we want to succeed as writer's online, it's great stuff to learn. I don't take such failure personally. I keep learning and improving. I hope you - and many other hubbers - will do the same.

         Don't quit, WowTGP. I just noticed your hub is unpublished. I hope you did that yourself, and re-publish it soon. If not, please send me a copy through the email link on the fanmail page - I wanted to start reading those blogs you recommended!
         
         (In the future, you can edit a hub without unpublishing it - in case you didn't know that. Any time you edit, it will go back through the hub-hopper, and may get featured.
         
         And learning excellent English grammar and spelling is totally worth it - no matter what it takes.

            I have deleted it and just republished it, and to my amazement, it just got featured within 2 hours.
            Thank you for you kind and inspiring words. I guess there are some people here who don't like to see newbies with weak English, but you are not one of them.

               Newbies or Oldies, I think it's the same... language is the very essence of writing and no reader will be interested in reading weak English, including those who are weak in English because it will only make their English weaker.

   Hey, WowTGP - I'm glad it's republished. You might want to post the new link, as the old one at the top of the forum isn't working now.
   
   In the future, no need to unpublish, and absolutely no need to delete. (You lose the comments when you do.) You can simply edit the hub and then post it.
   
   Also, don't take a hub not being featured personally, or think it is a matter of prejudice. People hop hubs to help ensure that we all get higher SEO on Google. Not being featured - even being flagged, or even moderated, is not a criticism of you, or of the hub. It is a call to action to become a better writer!

      Yeah, I saw you comment on my hub. I deleted it as I didn't know what to do to get my hub featured. Now you can check out blogs I have mentioned in my republished hub.
      
      I will make sure that hubs that I publish from now on is of better quality with less errors.

   My top tips are: Don't get hung up on stuff too quickly ..... just write what you write and see what happened a day or two later..... then learn, bit by bit, how to make things a little better, to fit the rules, get feedback ..... and soon you'll be writing hubs that you can just "write and run" .....
   
   Over time, Hubpages changes the rules and you log in one day and half your writing has warnings, or is unpublished.  No sweat - just find out what the new rules are, tweak your Hubs and off you go again.
   
   All the rules are there to ensure the writers improve, the quality is high, Hubpages is a great site and .... that, ultimately, means you make money and gain confidence and PRIDE.
   
   Early days writing is often clumsy, or over-enthusiastic, or "breaks rules I never knew about".  Later writing "breaks rules they just invented".
   
   The thing with Hubpages is that they aren't out to get you - and, so long as you're not posting just images or porn or hate, your hubs are simply unpublished and you have the chance to tweak/improve them and they're all OK again.
   
   It's probably the best and fairest writing site out there!

   I think that WalterPoon is correct. As harsh as it is, this site is an English speaking site, and no special allowances can be made for those who have weaker English skills. It simply wouldn't be fair.
      If I were you, I would work on building these skills before trying to concentrate on online writing. I also wouldn't be too hard on yourself. But, choose your challenges. For example, I wouldn't publish articles on a French website because I know that while i can speak French, I certainly don't have enough of a grasp on it to be taken seriously on that platform... so I stick to my mother tongue, because it's easier.
      Some tips- 1- use the spell checker, its there for a reason.
   
                          2- try to buddy up with a native English speaker who will proof read your hubs- perhaps suggest a trade of knowledge?
   
                         3- Increase your vocabulary as often as you can, it will save your hubs being repetitive (I have a hub on how to do this, but don't want to spam your feed, check it out- should hopefully help) Hope this helps, and isn't too negative?

      It's a really positive response. I have already contacted a friend of mine to proofread my hubs and tell me what I am doing wrong.
      
      To be honest, HubPages is really a different experience for me, because I had never been criticized for my lackluster writing in my whole blogging career. If I stick to HubPages and it's awesome community, it will only help me improve my writing skills . I hope I can prove to be a useful asset for HubPages community one day.
