Lets compare Bubblews with HUbpages

   Bubblews is definitely creating more revenue for writers than Hubpages. But the content quality sucks and they like it that way from interviews, Arvind, their CEO has given online. Will Google turn them down from its search engine and Adsense program? Will Hubpages experience a massive flock of users? What is your opinion. I like both, but I´m in need of cash. I have some plans for Hubpages that are different from what I write in Bubblews.

      I earn far more on Hubpages than Bubblews. Currently Bubblews users gain money from views-  which mostly are from other users - eventually when the capital funding of Bubblews has gone it is going to have to generate revenue - I just cannot see it doing that given the quality of content.

      I have found a lot of plagiarized articles there. I did put a couple of my articles on there that had been idled by Hubpages and I've earned $2.

   I have never heard of it.  The name is weak.  The home page is confusing.  IMO, I don't think there is any comparison.   HubPages is a great brand name in itself and generates quality pages that rank well.

      I agree there isn´t any comparison because of the differences in quality. Writers belong here in Hubpages, money makers in Bubblews. The thing is, many hubbers have migrated or decided to spend more of their time on Bubblews for the easy cash outs. This is good news for real writers here because of lesser low quality competition.

   I agree that Bubblews generates more revenue, but it also requires more interaction with other members to earn that money. I may be wrong but I don't think most of my posts there attract much traffic from outside Bubblews, though I did have one that did really well on the day it was posted and the traffic must have come from outside the site.
   My feeling is that writing on Bubblews is for short term gain, while HubPages is for articles that I expect to attract an audience over a long period. I also sometimes think that if I spent as much time at HubPages as I do at Bubblews, in the long term I'd be better off.

      I just took a look at Bubblew.  I can't see it surviving. 
      
      They're paying members for likes, views, comments and shares.  As we all know from HubPages, members do not click on ads, so all that member activity is NOT contributing directly to the site's ad revenue.  If all the member activity helps push the site up in the SERPS and attracts readers from outside, then it will help the ad revenue indirectly - but if it's not, then they're paying out to more to members than they're earning.
      
      Today.com did the same thing - when they started, they were paying members $1 per blog post.  We all know how ad revenue works, so $1 a post was a lot to pay out, especially as they had hundreds of people joining up.  Pretty quickly, they had to cut back on payments and ultimately, they sold the domain name and closed the site.

      Right On. This is my initial view on Bublews. Search Engine don´t pick the content as easily and there is no way of viewing statistics to know anyway. Maybe these upgrades will come in time and the quality of the site will improve. They say they are bringing in moderators.

      Mmmm, I get paid 4 cents for each view. Hubpages gives less than 1 cent, you also get money for other interactions like comments and likes.

         But hubs gets views even when I do nothing, each hub getting thousands of views with no extra effort.
         
         Bubbles, not so much.

   I agree on both counts, David. The content is terrible, but the payout is faster with no effort. I don't spend a lot of time interacting, so it took me 6 weeks to get the $25 payout. I have a friend who has cashed out 6 times in the last month.

      You see. Comments like this makes you want to hop on the train. 6 cash outs in one month, lets say they were of all of the minimum $25 bucks. 125 dollars for a beginner. Not bad. But I don´t think it will last, payment sizes will fall eventually.

         The time scale doesn't tell me much.  The important figure is, how many hours do you have to spend on Bubblews to make a payout?

   I'm not on that site, but I'll share something with you.
   
   I have multitudes of Google Alerts set up, and for the past month Bubblews posts have been showing up regularly in the Google feed.  I have NEVER seen a HubPages article show.
   
   That site does get traffic from the Google Alerts, so it must be doing something right.

   This came up as a question on Hubpages the other day (Q/A section) so I wrote a hub about it.  They are two different markets/models and, as somebody said earlier, it makes you wonder where the funding is coming from because people in a community don't click on adverts as a rule.
