This is a forum I will try and post every Friday to allow people to vent without being booted off other forums for being off topic because here there is no topic. I am posting it in social issues because it gets a lot of traffic and may offer a release valve for the angry, so enjoy.
The radio network WNIR (100.1) in Kent, Ohio during the John “Couchburner” Denning show from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (EST) has what they call gripe Friday. The idea is that anyone can call and complain on the air. I think this would be a good idea here for everyone to gripe about what is bothering them (without starting a new forum). Please complain away.
The Roads of North East Ohio. While millions of dollars is spent on re-surfacing roads that where re-surfacing last year the smaller roads (many used as detours) are at the point where they really aren't roads anymore (just strait lines of crushed asphalt). How about a little of that casino money for the roads?
A little better planning might be in order, too.
3 years ago the road in front of my subdivision was torn up to put new sewer lines under it. The next year it was torn up again (same area!) for updated sewer lines. Last year it was torn up to widen it to 4 lanes. This year the major intersection just south is being torn up to improve the intersection.
Just a little wasteful, it seems to me.
I listen to a Toronto,Canada radio program and they have a Free For All Friday 'Zoomer Radio - Senior Citizens' AM740 with Dale Goldhawk, where you may call in and talk about any subject not a gripe session yet some do complain. Everyone is angry today about something in their lives. I am reading an Anger Management book in hopes I will get a cure instead of taking a class or two. I can't imagine how angry all the victims are with losing their homes, cars and all possessions, body parts because of tornados, terrorist attacks and hell on earth. We all need a calming effect put into force maybe with Nature television or Spiritual Music Free television channel - do you have any ideas?
we need people to stop committing suicide. yikes. can they be helped? what should we do?
it's saturday....but i understand yesterday was donut day in the US....why can't Canada have one?...we have more donut shops than grocery stores here.........
Some people just want to feel angry all the time it seems.
