I'm not sure if it is consistent or just happened to be the hubs I checked, but the new ad layouts are looking better and less spammy than the previous versions when you are logged out of hubpages. I went in tonight to check what some of my pages looked like to a non-hubpages user.
I know that you receive a lot of complaints and honestly, I really was worried about how ad-ridden the pages were looking.
The current version looks a lot better, in my opinion and strikes a better balance. I know that you are still working and tweaking but I wanted to let you know that I was pleasantly surprised. I hope some version of this is here to stay.
According to another thread, they are trying new layouts and that one isn't in there for some of us. It is not there for me.
