I wrote a hub (it's in its finishing stages now) that I want to publish soon, but I'm having a bit of difficulty thinking of an appropriate name.
It has tips for students who are going away for college and living on their own in a dorm or apartment for the first time. tips for mainly taking care of yourself, and keeping organized etc.

    I was thinking of:
"6 Tips for College/University students living on their own for the first time"
"6 Tips for Students living on their own for the first time".

I want to encompass the idea that it's for tertiary students who have never lived away from home before, especially if theyre in another region or country.

Can you please give me any suggestions? Much appreciated.
    Thanks!

How about- "Tips and Tricks for first time college students studying abroad"  Just an idea, as there could be many titles that you could come up with, for such a topic that has to do with first time college students.  Particularly those studying away from home, keeping your dorm quarters organized, and many other things along those lines.

What you could do, is use any Title that you had already thought of.  Then after a week or so, you could always change it a bit.  Also take advantage of the Hubpages Title Tune to help you accomplish this task..  It is designed to help you hone a user friendly title.  Particularly so to those searching for your article title, with its associated ideas. Those searching online for this type of content, can find it with more ease on Google and other search engines. Hope this helps a little.

Cardia make sure the title is search friendly, so what about "A how to guide for students living alone for the first time". It is short and yet encompasses your idea quite significantly. Remember,. the hub title should be alluring and yet informative. Your idea is broad so make the title broad but not overtly obvious.

I don't know if this will help any, but I am very close to that age range, and it was very difficult for me at first. But yet, I am still managing, my online courses, while managing, my online store, and then hubpage's. Quite often, I find myself living off of coffee, roman, noodles, and a prayer. I don't know if that assist you at all, but I hope it does.

    How about

'6 tips for students new to living on their own',

or even make it shorter still and call it:
'Tips for Students New to Living on their Own'.

    'Tips for Students Living Alone'

    'Advice for Students Living Alone'

'A Student's Guide to Living Alone' (you could add 'for the first time' to this).

etc etc. (Try to keep the title short and to the point if at all possible).

Get in the head of the searcher; how would the student search for this topic?

"How to Manage My First Year in College / Tips for College Students"
"How to Become an Organized First-Year College Student"
"What I Need To Know About My First Time Away From Home"
"How Students Manage College Away From Home / Tips for Students"

    Good luck!

My suggestion would be to use the Google Keyword Tool, set it to "exact"- not "broad", and check some of your title ideas.  The tool will list the number of searchs per month for various keywords.
I would think phrases like these might be good:
Surviving your freshman year of college
Moving out- surviving on your own
6 tips to leave home and live on your own at college

    Good luck!

I like all of these ideas that have been shared. I thought I would put my *two cents* and chime in here. If I were writing this.
I would use a title something like.....
"Six Lessons to Learn in the College of Hard Knocks".
Once you get there, and the first day you sit through a boring lecture.
One is on his/her way of learning about how life in college is
only for the strong at heart! :-)  Good luck with your article.

Thanks to all that replied to my post. I did eventually find a title that summed it up the way I wanted it to. I'll definitely use the Google Adwords tools for my next articles.
    Thank you!
