Hub published on google

   My first hub was published and featured.  I even tried searching on google and it would show.  But now, I tried to google and search my hub, but I could not find it? What could have happened? Please help. I don't understand this.  So new to Hubs though. Thanks much!

      Sometimes it takes a while for Google to index it. You can type Site:username.hubpages.com to find it. or type the entire title. Be patient as it sometimes takes a long time for indexing.

   The google rankings could be low, and the page is buried somewhere among thousands of other pages.

   It makes sense.  This may not be relevant to my first question, but I'd like to also ask about what to do with a commenter who was banned from Hubpages? Are you to delete the comments forever or just leave it?  Sorry, don't know how to handle this.  This may sound familiar to you, so I asked.  Thanks again...

      If you don't want the comment simply delete it.

   Go to you account and click on comments. You should see box named Global Comment Capsule Settings. Click on show settings. You can set your comments up so that you have to approve them first, etc.

   Just did it, thank you.  But as I was saying, would you recommend deleting the commenter who's banned because his comments are not bad though.  It's specific to the hub I posted.

   As long as the comment is not spam, or inappropriate you can leave it.  The commenter may be unbanned or have a new account, or commenting as a guest. It is really your choice as to what to do with it.

   Concerning your question, it is possible that the algorithm thought your article was a perfect match with the title and article content when it first found it so it tossed it on the rankings, but as this algorithm continues on and circles back to you, it probably found other articles to have more links, etc.
   
   Another possibility could have been that you were logged into Google and gave your page a +1 - this will make the page appear near the top for you while you're logged in, but if you log out you won't see it anywhere. You might want to try searching logged in and logged out to see.
   
   If this isn't the case, the fact that your page was showing up, even if for a minute, is a good sign. I would recommend taking the article and linking to it from a few places. Social bookmarks like Digg and StumbleUpon are easy, if it fits into a sub-reddit you find at http://www.metareddit.com you can post it there...You likely just need a couple of citations from other websites to verify that your article has some worth before Google will let you back into the search listings.
   
   Find a forum post somewhere that discusses your topic, and link to your article. Be honest and tell them you wrote it, ask if it helped. If you've got a Facebook business page or Google+ business page, Twitter, whatever, you can also post your articles on there for a little bit of credibility, although a link from a non-social network site can do a lot more for you by itself in most cases.

      One other thing, check if your Hub is still a "Featured Hub" with the H in the black circle next to it. If it isn't then Hubpages ripped you from the listings themselves because the hub wasn't good enough by whatever standards they use. The "Evergreen" thing that appears towards the top right as you write a hub can be helpful for this, I've found as long as you fill up all of the things they suggest you'll have a featured hub for the foreseeable future

   Hi PaulPd0 - yes, my hub shows an H.  That's my very first article and I'm glad it was featured.  I'm still thinking of writing some more in the future.  I'm so clueless how hubpages works.  There are so many things to understand.  All I know is to make an interesting hub to get featured.  So much to learn though.
