Would it be possible to set up a mechanism whereby people trying to post these endless threads about failing to get an Adsense account are denied publication in the forum and are instead directed to the relevant learning centre entries?
These turgid threads are swamping the forums and are attracting comments with lots of misinformation. In the vast majority of cases, the complainants are either based in countries where a minimum 6-month wait is required, or have a tiny handful of hubs, so really there is nothing to discuss.
I understand your frustration as we get many email messages about the same thing each day.
There really isn't a way to tell when a person creates a new thread that it is related to any specific topic. Even if we could tell it is AdSense related, that would not be enough to know what the actual problems is.
The help system walks people through trouble shooting common problems and does direct people to the appropriate Learning Center and/or FAQ.
There are specific entries for AdSense questions and issues.

If a forum thread is in the topic (general questions versus AdSense lets say) you can report the thread for being in the wrong topic and it will be reviewed.
Amen.
Perhaps a big banner ad at the top of forum page is in order that sez "ATTENTION: IF YOU ARE FROM INDIA, YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BEFORE ADSENSE WILL APPROVE YOU NO MATTER HOW MANY FRICKIN' APPROVED HUBS YOU HAVE... SO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE STOP ASKING!"
It would help a lot if HubPages updated their own advice. It should be bleeding obvious to them that 10 Hubs just doesn't cut it any more. I haven't seen anyone get accepted with fewer than 15 Hubs, and it looks like you need one month's membership too.
Sure, maybe there are exceptions, but I think it would save a lot of frustrations if they used those figures so people waited just a little longer before they applied - and it wouldn't hurt.

I've previously started a thread on this at http://hubpages.com/community/forum/141 … th-adsenseIn short, I used my YouTube AdSense account to apply for the Ad Program here at HubPages. For over a year, my AdSense account recorded absolutely no data and hits. Correspondingly, not even a cent...

I believe this has been addressed before but can we please revisit it. I have very little interest in the religion and political forum threads yet they seem to occupy 75%+ of the latest activity. It's an inconvenience to have to browse through Jesus this and Obama that just trying to read on topics...

There are a lot of us who haven't been feeling safe on the forums. They've felt stalked, harassed and browbeaten.Sadly, some folks go with the letter of the law, but not the spirit of it in their posts. For an excellent post on why we need Forum Moderators, check out what Makingamark says here...
