Someone was wanting help about emotion to control in some social network. Once i answered a question that a human can control own emotional thoughts to great extend to almost complete that one stage comes we completely can able to be calm at every condition.
The some people in forum started completely personal attack on me.
I don't know why? i said we can do this by meditation or just take example of Jesus how he faced every condition calmy (he was here in human form not to forget).
What should the reason that people reacted like that?
Maybe because they can't do it.
Or maybe because you are claiming something that you can have absolutely no knowledge of; how Jesus faced every condition he met. That no one mentions his anger doesn't mean it wasn't there (and actually he DID exhibit extreme anger at least once) and you certainly weren't there to see for yourself.
Yes, but personal attack was so strong from one person. It was unexpected for me. I have not given example before that person to start attack on me.
I have great respect for your question and feel it deserves a more considered answer.
The Buddhist way is one focused upon unity and completeness. It is very tolerant of difference and diversity. Whenever there is conflict arising, Buddha teaches that we should look into our self and find the reasons there for the conflict.
Other religions tend to search outside of the self for answers. With this there is also a tendency to blame someone else, instead of searching one's self. The "god of worship" has become a focus outside. Fear has come about because that "god" has been portrayed as someone to bow down to; someone who will punish misdemeanour. From this comes the desire to control and the ability to apply control.
So your own more advanced spiritual understanding, where you were able to reach out to someone who was wanting assistance, was misunderstood and maybe not even considered valid by someone else who has none of that spiritual maturity. I suggest you stand by your response to them, trust your own worth and do not be swayed by the anger (and/or ignorance) of others.
Something else just occurred to me, regarding the Buddhist Way : An Equanimous mind is something to aim for.
I wish you well on your journey.
A degree of maturity is necessary to reach the level of self-control that you are talking about. It is doubtful that a quick tempered, hothead will be able to display the kind of control which you are referring to.
If you used Jesus as an example supporting your assertion, I understand now their reactions!
They started attack at very start before to give example of Jesus.

We need to fight against what is bad for our lives/survival. We need to realize when to fight and when not to fight. When to yield and when to stand firm. There are times to stand firm. Those times are in defending one's life and way of life. This principle applies to Politics as well. What would...

Without the Jewish religion Christianity would have gone the way of so many savior beliefs, relegated to a back room, sitting on a museum storage shelf, collecting dust. And if it were not for one single man, a mortal man and a Jew, Christianity would be on that shelf, molding with the ages, but...

Do you agree with this? It seems to me that some of the holier than thou christians on this site legitimately believe with all their heart that those who do not believe in their god will have special front row tickets to hell/eternal punishment, yet still try to play off that their god is just and...
