   Among the scientific theories that all high school students should know before graduation are:
   
   1.  The Big Bang Theory of the origins of the cosmos
   2.  Hubble's Law of Cosmic Expansion
   3.  Einstein's Theory of General Relativity
   4.  Heisenberg's Uncertainly Principle
   5.  ???
   
   What scientific theory should be listed as #5? Why?

      The theory that there is a God who created the universe,  as opposed to the theory that it just happened out of nothing and nowhere all by its itsy bitsy self.
      
      Why?
      Because it makes much more sense scientifically and every way.
      Plus,  the ideal education would present all the real possibilities,  would it not?    So why stick with one that's totally improbable instead of actually recognizing the fact that there's huge huge indication that an all-powerful Being started our whole existence?

                        He gives us many clues, and many outright declarations, of who and what He is.
                        The challenge is for you.   I already know Him.

                           Honestly, I did post this forum to enable yet another utterly meaningless discussion about creation and origin myths.
                           
                           This forum is intended to foster informed discussion about what should, perhaps,  be taught in public schools in terms of significant scientific thought; scientific thought that can help Americans become competitive in an increasingly competitive global job/employment marker.
                           
                           This discussion is intended to promote informed conversation about public school curricula designed to actually educate American children in ways that foster critical thinking and skills that they can take to the job market.
                           
                           So, if you want to discuss your creation/origin myths, perhaps you should post a forum dedicated such discussion.

                              But, that's all you'll ever get from the scientifically illiterate. They have no interest in learning anything and want their beliefs to be taught in schools.

         Are you even aware of what Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle states and how it actually opens the door to scientific considerations of such things once relegated to the space of religion/philosophy such as free will?
         
         Are you even aware that the Uncertainty Principles opens the door to the idea of multiple universes---including unseen but real universes and dimensions (perhaps even heavens and hells)?
         
         Are you even aware that the Uncertainty Principle opens the door to the idea that even that which is not observable exists?

            Why in the world would such a "principle" need to be "taught" to anyone at all, when all it takes is opening up a Bible to learn about ALL those things!?    Such a roundabout way of trying to teach someone!   No wonder scientific "theories" are so distracting to impressionable minds!   
            I'm aware of the "law of distraction" that's being used by liberal teachers etc.     Are you?    Well, hey, I just explained it to ya.

               The Bible is a fiction; an edited compilation of narratives written and rewritten, edited and re-edited, translated and re-translated by men in the 4th century C.E. with largely political and proto-national agendas.
               
               The Bible is not fact. The Bible is at best fable and parable; fable and parable responsible for a great deal of human misery from war to genocide.
               
               So your belief is, then, that no science should be taught in any public school. That only Bible stories should be taught. Your belief is that science and its theories are little more than "distractions" used by liberal teachers to undermine religion.
               
               If science is liberal distracting nonsense designed by liberals to "distract' young minds, then why are you working on a computer and accessing the world-wide web? Each is,  after all,  the product of science; of theories that have been incorporated into devices.
               
               Doesn't the Bible have some prohibition against women expressing opinions in public? Against women preaching its very "word"? Against women challenging the authority of men---and you have certainly challenged the authority of many men in this forum?

                  Indeed, it does. In both Old and New Testaments. In fact, women speaking of the scriptures at all, especially while usurping authority from a man, was labeled by Paul a blasphemy.
                  
                  And I believe Leviticus 24:14-16 teaches us how to deal with blasphemy...

                     I am always amazed at the cherry-picking or cafeteria-style selectivity of those who claim that the Bible (or any other religious text) is the absolute and definitive text about everything---everything, of course, except that which they choose to ignore or choose to interpret as having a meaning other than that  expressed in the Bible.

         Sorry, but religious beliefs are not scientific theories, they're just myths and superstitions, which are taught at school; Thor, Zeus, etc.
         
         
         
           Since you don't understand any scientific theories, you have no reference points.
         
         
         
         Of course, but gods have never been shown to be real possibilities, only myths and superstitions.   
         
         
         
         There is no indication at all, if there was, science would acknowledge it.
