The traffic on my hubs has gone up the last few days but my score has dropped 7 points. Any reason for this other than personal opinion of people who work for hubpages?

Hubber score now takes into account the scores on all your Hubs together. This is my understanding why Hubber score for some Hubbers has dropped.

So how exactly do they rate the hubs? my guess is someone reads it and determines the quality.

I think it's automated through some kind of algorithms. Though, Hubs are checked manually by live moderators/workers when originally published and go through quality assessment; plus, I think staff does go through all of them eventually, even after that.

Hubpages has changed more in the last few months for reasons only the  hub page money makers seem to understand !  The fact that my own score has risen and dropped anywhere between  96  and  70  is showing me that  perhaps  there's no one at the helm  sometimes !  I have decided that score only matters to them ! I write poetry and fiction mostly . These genres have no interest to them !  Welcome to  the  new hub  world ! Stay here if you like it here only ! Or seek your E- $  elsewhere .  Perhaps a blog page  just for your interests . good luck.

It's funny but as you post new articles, your Hubber score will drop tentatively because it's got to do with the average score of all your hubs. So, if you think about it, brand new hubs have a ready low score. Therefore it makes sense that this average would go down until those scores increased again. No biggie. Brand new hubs just make your score go down a little, but what can you do, stop publishing? No way. Just ignore it. This score will likely go up and down, up and down the whole time you are with HubPages.

What criteria do the hubs have to meet to get a higher score? I have tried all the tips they tell you to try and I only have one hub with am 80 score, and most are in the 60s who decides what score to give a hub and how do they determine it? Is it their personal preference, if so this is a flawed system because no two people are alike and if someone's personal opinion affects the scores I will yank every bit of my content and go elsewhere. Only made $22 in 15 months anyway it would be another year before I can even get high enough to collect. I bet Hubpages got their money already though lol,
